(Clearwisdom.net) On March 20, 2004, dozens of Falun Gong practitioners in New Zealand gathered at the square in downtown Palmerston North City to introduce Falun Dafa and clarify the truth at the local culture festival.
Falun Dafa Exercise Demonstration | A Dafa booth |
There were many people visiting this large-scale culture festival. The attractive Falun Gong booth and the beautiful, peaceful exercise demonstration attracted many people to stop and watch. Several practitioners talked about the Falun Dafa exercises and the persecution of Falun Gong to the people passing by. Many people happily accepted our truth clarification materials and many others asked for details about the local free exercise instruction courses. Many Chinese people took the initiative to approach us to get to know the truth. One elderly couple just had just moved to Sydney from China not long ago. The elderly husband was eager to find the Falun Gong books to read. His wife focused her attention on the display boards. Another Chinese woman stayed for a long time around the booth. She did not leave until she confirmed that she could obtain a copy of Zhuan Falun.
At the booth, two practitioners who are good at Chinese calligraphy were busy writing Chinese names for those who obtained a flyer designed by practitioners with the words, "Falun Dafa is Good," and "The World needs Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." People with smiling faces took away several hundred Chinese calligraphies with our best wishes.
The day's activity was quite busy but peaceful. After performing a dance on the stage, the practitioners performed the five sets of exercises and dance in another place. During the parade afterwards, practitioners in Cheong-sam and Tang Dynasty costumes danced to the music "Falun Dafa is good." They won rounds of applause from spectators.
The organizer highly praised Falun Gong practitioners' participation and thanked us for our efforts.
