Facts of persecution
On April 10, 2004, police officers from Dehui City's Police Department in Jilin Province surrounded the residence of three Falun Gong practitioners, Sun Dawei, Wang Di and Zhao Jianjuan. The practitioners fell and severely injured themselves when trying to escape the persecutors, and they were sent to the Changchun City Police Hospital. The police officers denied their involvement in this persecution and claimed it was the responsibility of persons from the Changchun City Police Department. The practitioners' families have not been allowed to see them since the incident took place.
Police abducted Dafa practitioners Xi Lili and Guo Lijuan in Shijiazhuang City in late February and sent them to the No. 2 Detention Center in Shijiazhuang City. Around March 25 they were sentenced to three years of forced labor. A physical exam revealed Xi Lili to have severe heart disease and kidney failure. Guo Lijuan was diagnosed with kidney failure. The labor camp refused to take them, and so did the detention center. The two practitioners ended up in the Weiming Street Police Station.
In 2001, Dafa practitioner Li Baoyue and I were illegally held at the Shijiazhuang City Labor Camp in Hebei Province. Because we refused to give up Dafa, they detained us in solitary confinement for a long time. On June 24, I saw Li Baoyue being beaten to the ground. His arms were covered with blood. Li Baoyue was 36 years old and suffered numerous forms of torture. He was released on September 20, 2001. I heard some guards say he was later abducted and sent to a brainwashing class, and sentenced to one year of forced labor in November 2002. His sentence expired in November 2003, but he is still being held and cannot walk due to torture.
In late June 2003, Dafa practitioner Zheng Xiuzhi gave a truth clarification flyer to Wang Lijing, and one of her daughter's teachers and Wang Lijing reported her. Perpetrators went to the homes of Zheng Xiuzhi and her mother numerous times to harass them.
Dafa practitioner Liu Ruihai, Shen Yongzhi and his wife in Sanhe City, Hebei Province suffered persecution in the past few years and were unlawfully detained numerous times. The perpetrators monitored them closely on holidays and other "sensitive days" which severely disrupted their lives.
Dafa practitioner Gong Biming from Qijiang County, Chongqing City was abducted in 2002 or 2003 and sent to the Xishanping Labor Camp in Chongqing City, where he was savagely tortured. After his release he found blood in his stool and was diagnosed with colon cancer. Well aware of Gong Biming's condition, Xie Qiang and other police officers from Qijiang County's Police Department still harassed him constantly. On April 7, 2004, these police officers abducted Gong Biming from home and sent him to Qijiang County's Detention Center.
Police abducted Dafa practitioner Ms. Xia Guofeng in Guanghan City, Sichuan Province in late 2000. She was cuffed to a chair at the police station and was released the next day. In March 2000, the perpetrators tricked her into going to the town government, where they held her for seven days. They burned her mouth with a cigarette, slapped her face, kicked her and pushed her head into a basin of water. They repeatedly beat her until her body was covered with bruises. In 2001, the perpetrators ransacked her home and took away Teacher's pictures, videotapes and audiocassettes.
Dafa practitioner Yang Yunhua is in her 60s. She lived in Songlin Township, Guanghan City, Sichuan Province. In March 2000 she went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa and was arrested. She was brought back by police officers from the Songlin Police Station. They held her for three days, during which time they took turns beating her. They tried to keep her head under water, force-fed her boiling water, and put a plate around her neck with humiliating words and paraded her through the streets. She was covered with bruises after three days of torture. The perpetrators sent her to the Guanghan City Detention Center after that, held her there for 15 days and fined her 1,750 Yuan. Once she was reported when at the home of a fellow practitioner, was arrested again and detained for nine days, in addition to being assessed a 1,000-Yuan "fine." On May 16, 2000, she practiced the Dafa exercises in Qiaotou Park in Guanghan City and was once more detained for 15 days. On January 18, 2001, the police abducted her from home and subjected her to brainwashing.
Dafa practitioner Wang Huilian, a lecturer and Master's degree holder at Northeastern Normal University, was sent to the Chaoyang Labor Camp in Changchun City in early April 2004 to be held for one-and-a-half years. Right now she is being held at the Heizuizi Female Labor Camp in Changchun, Jilin Province.
My name is Li Ruixia. I am a Dafa practitioner working for the No. 1 District at the Fengshuigou Mine in Chifeng City, in the Inner Mongolia Autonomic Region. On March 2, 2003, police abducted me and tortured me for one month. I held a hunger strike to protest the unconstitutional detention and was force-fed. On March 31, the police extorted 5,000 Yuan from my family before they released me. I stayed home for two days before they came to me and ordered me to write the "three statements."* Having no choice, I took my daughter and left home.
Perpetrators and their crimes
Perpetrators from the Changshengqiao Police Station in the Nan'an District, Chongqing City beat Dafa practitioners Zhou Liangrong and her sister Zhou Liangjuan until they were near death. These two practitioners are right now being held at the Maojiashan Female Labor Camp in the Jiangbei District, Chongqing City to serve three years of forced labor.
Note:
1. Three Statements -- indicates remorse for ever having practiced Falun Dafa, a promise to never again practice Dafa in the future, to not go to Beijing to appeal and to no longer associate with other Dafa practitioners.
