(Clearwisdom.net) Dafa practitioner Liu Wen went to Beijing to appeal, was arrested, and taken to the Fangshan Police Station. Zhou Deyun, the Secretary of the Fangshan Politics and Legal Committee, had Liu Wen sent back to Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province. From there, Liu was sentenced to three years of forced labor education. First, he was detained in Balizhuang Labor Camp in Baoding City, Hebei Province, where he was brutally tortured for five months. The police forced him to sleep on the concrete floor and only allowed him to wear a single shirt during the cold October weather. Some practitioners sent him padded cotton clothing, but the police did not allow him to wear it. Everyday, the police and some of the detainees tortured him to try to force him to give up his belief in Falun Dafa. However, Liu remained steadfast in his belief.
When they saw that Liu could not be moved, they sent him to a labor camp in Tangshan City, Hebei Province to suffer further abuse and torture until he could be forced to renounce his belief. During this period, Liu endured various tortures. One torture went like this: A large, thick stick was forcefully rubbed against his legs, causing blood to flow freely. Liu Wen faced the prospect of death on a daily basis.
After three years of persecution there, Liu Wen was sent to the Zhouzhou City brainwashing center for more than twenty days. When the police saw that Liu's faith still could not be broken, they sent him back to the Baoding Brainwashing Center. There, he was denied use of the toilet and was forced to stand still facing the wall for long periods of time. They gave Liu only two meals every four days, and restrained him in uncomfortable positions at all times so that he could neither stand up straight nor bend down. The window in the room where Liu was detained was covered so that no one could see him or the torture he was suffering.
Currently, Liu Wen's location and condition are unknown.
