HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Falun Dafa practitioners observe the principles of truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance in their daily lives, striving to become better people in all environments and situations; and

WHEREAS, Falun Dafa has its roots in ancient Chinese practices of mind and body that promote the cultivation of body, mind, and spirit, inspiring millions of people through gentle exercise and efforts to develop their moral standards; and

Canadian Parliamentary Committee Holds Hearing Regarding Human Rights in China, Representatives of Falun Dafa Association Invited to Attend

(Clearwisdom.net) In Ottawa on the afternoon of May 12, 2004, the Subcommittee on Human Rights and International Development of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade held a hearing on human rights in China. Three Falun Gong representatives were invited to attend, and they presented evidence from different perspectives to expose the persecution of Falun Gong by Jiang's regime. They also answered questions from the members of Parliament.

(Clearwisdom.net) At around noon on May 20, 2004, near 100 Falun Gong practitioners gathered at Time Square. The practitioners held a press conference to expose the Jiang regime's brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners and announced the official kickoff of the "Van Tour to Support the Lawsuit against Jiang Zemin."
