Besides attending the press conference, Member He of the Legislative Committee read a press release to condemn strongly the Jiang faction's terrorist act of hiring assassins to kill people overseas. He said, "The endless persecution of human rights in China must be continuously condemned and investigated." Later he signed the petition for "Stopping Jiang Regime's Global Terrorism".
Chu Wan-Qi, attorney in Taiwan for the "Global Public Trial of Jiang Zemin," said that the shooting incident in South Africa was more than an attempted murder, but pointed to the Jiang group's attempt to eradicate belief in "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance". She said, "We are not against the Chinese government. But we hope kind-hearted people will oppose such an international human rights persecution and prevent the Jiang group from exporting the terrorism overseas."
Guo Lin-Yong, Director of the Lawyers Association, said that the practice Falun Gong should be protected. He called on South Africa to find out the assassins and plot behind their activities.
A Falun Gong practitioner with last name Hsie, who was an actor in the torture exhibition, said, "I suffered a lot just bending over there for thirty minutes. My whole body became numb. You can imagine how much the Falun Gong practitioners being persecuted in China are suffering."
The host of the press conference, Prof. Chong Gu-Lan, pointed out that Jiang regime's persecution of Falun Gong practitioners has lasted about five years and that more than a thousand practitioners were tortured to death. The largest scale and most severe incidents of torture in this century are continuing in China. Now Jiang's faction exports the persecution to free countries overseas, which is a challenge to human beings' freedom and peace. Falun Gong practitioners called on the world's people to condemn the Jiang faction's state terrorism.
