(Clearwisdom.net) As the vans of the young practitioners and their bicycles vanished from sight, tears came to my eyes.
The Bicycle Tour by Young Practitioners from Toronto and Montreal to End the Persecution and Rescue the Children Being Persecuted in China has been on its way for four days. Because they haven't ridden far, we still picked them up by car each day after they finished the designated distance for that day. Therefore, it seemed that they had not really started yet. But today, they are going to cross the border and say farewell to practitioners in Toronto and Montreal for a short period of time.
They are among the young practitioners in the Fa-rectification period. What is their understanding of the Fa-rectification? How do they participate in it? What are their missions? This time, the children really put their hearts into the journey and are walking out of the shadows of their parents and other adult practitioners.
In the past, the adults just treated the mischievous and naive young practitioners as kids. They didn't really pay much attention to whatever they did. In retrospect, I can only mention a few incidents that I know about.
How much do they understand after studying the Fa? The Fa is the principle of "Truth-Compassion-Forbearance." What is their understanding of that? 'A young practitioner went to a store with his father. He saw his father accidentally knock something from the shelf onto the floor and the package got dirty. "Dad, let's buy this one," he said. "We cannot let other people have the dirty one."
A girl had been making phone calls to China with her parents for many hours. During the period she kept on sending forth righteous thoughts. Why? She wanted Chinese people to learn the truth of Falun Gong and not be deceived by Jiang. When she shared her experience at a Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference, many adult practitioners were deeply touched.
A young practitioner, upon hearing his mother's call, immediately ran to the computer. 'Teacher's new article "Beyond the Limits of Forbearance" had just been published. The playful kid burst in tears right in front of the screen while reading 'Teacher's article.
"Forbearance (ren) is not cowardice, much less is it resigning oneself to adversity. Dafa disciples' Forbearance is noble; is the manifestation of beings' magnificent, indestructible, and diamond-like solidity; is tolerance for the purpose of upholding the truth; and is mercy toward and salvation of beings who still have human nature and righteous thoughts. Forbearance is absolutely not the limitless giving of free rein, which allows those evil beings who no longer have any human nature or righteous thoughts to do evil without limit. With Forbearance, one can give up everything for Truth. But Forbearance does not mean tolerating evil beings--that no longer have human nature or righteous thoughts--defying both human and divine laws as they corrupt sentient beings and Dafa's existence at different levels, much less is it ignoring terrible crimes. Zhen, Shan, Ren is the Fa! And It is the manifestation of the Great Fa of the cosmos at different levels. It is absolutely not some human theory or guiding principle for ordinary human living, as human beings take it to be. If the evil has already reached the point where it is unsavable and unkeepable, then various measures at different levels can be used to stop it and eradicate it...." ("Beyond the Limits of Forbearance")
It's been such a long time. Practitioners are all looking forward to it. So are the young practitioners. They are looking forward to the time when "The Fa Rectifies the Cosmos."
Today, they set out on their journey across the border.
A bicycle trip is not something new. They are not the first group to cover more than a thousand kilometers (over 620 miles), either. Their bicycles are new, and they are wearing helmets and bike shorts. Almost everyone has a walkie-talkie. Some even have laptop computers. The adults form a supporting team, driving several cars to escort them. In addition, they have the support from practitioners along their route.
What, then, do their rotating wheels signify?
At school, many of their classmates show off how many hundreds or even thousands of dollars they have in their bank accounts. Yet the young practitioners give out all the money they saved to clarify the truth.
Other children are eating, drinking, playing, and having fun in the swimming pool, on the beach, or at Disneyland, or wandering in the virtual world of the Internet. Even adults are fascinated and charmed by the world that is full of temptations.
Yet these kids are pedaling under the sun, covering mile by mile more than a thousand kilometers, a distance as far as from Beijing to Shanghai, on mountain roads and in stormy weather.
Children of today's world lose their innocence at an early age. The young practitioners, the boys and girls in cultivation, are different. They talk to the media about the truth of Falun Dafa. They demonstrate the Falun Dafa exercises to the passers-by. Whenever someone takes the truth-clarification material from their hands, they are so happy. Health, uprightness, kindness, and compassion melt in their beautiful, youthful smiles.
Even adults wouldn't easily touch upon the topic of "where are human beings heading?" It's such a realistic and heavy topic. Yet the young practitioners have already learned the relationship between the immense cosmos and every being in it. The light of "Truth-Compassion-Forbearance" shines upon the brand new and wonderful future. The meaning of life to a practitioner is not a mere ideal or belief, but a reality.
Yet, children are children. They still cry, laugh, and play like children. Sometimes they whine or get lazy. But if you ask them, they know that Teacher is right by their side. They all have the will to do better and better.
What are they also leaving for the future?
For several seconds, while watching them cycling away, all these thoughts came to my mind, and tears blurred my sight. I would like to say something that has a meaning of cultivation. That is, they set out on the journey of returning to the most beautiful realm.
