(Clearwisdom.net) July 20, 2004 marked five years of persecution of Falun Gong in China. Korean Falun Gong practitioners held activities in front of the Chinese Embassy and Consulate from 1pm to 3pm, to strongly condemn the persecution of Falun Gong by Jiang's regime. They read a statement of mourning in memory of persecution victims, introduced Falun Dafa and its history and held a press conference.

A Falun Gong practitioner representative solemnly read aloud a statement of mourning in memory of the Falun Gong practitioners who died from the persecution. The statement, in both Chinese and Korean, recounted the history of the persecution. During the press conference, a reporter paid special attention to the Korean Falun Dafa Association's standing and the facts of the persecution.
Even though it was during work hours, the door to the Chinese Embassy was tightly shut. No one could be seen in the Embassy. Falun Gong practitioners had to give their statement to the guard of the Embassy at the end of their activity.
The Chinese Embassy is a heavily guarded building on a narrow street. Such activities used to be forbidden in front of the Embassy. Every time a Falun Dafa activity was held, the Chinese Embassy would request police under the excuse that they were afraid Falun Gong practitioners would attack the Embassy. Very significantly, this was the first time that this activity could be held in front of the Embassy on such a special day.
Falun Gong practitioners also went to the Chinese Consulate downtown for the rest of their activity. Those who need paperwork done have to visit the Consulate. It is also a place for Falun Gong practitioners' truth clarification.
Passersby were interested in the Falun Gong photo displays, and were shocked by the facts of the persecution. Some asked how to start cultivating in Falun Gong. All of the truth clarification flyers were quickly given away.
Falun Gong practitioners ended their activity with a standing exercise demonstration.
