(Clearwisdom.net) On July 13, 2004, at approximately 12:00 p.m., police officer Lu Xinhua from the National Security Team of Wuhan City Public Security Bureau, Officer Tian Jun from the Wuhan City Public Security Bureau's Dongxihu District Branch, Director Min from the Wuhan City Dongxihu District Changqing Garden Police Station, Secretary Cao, leader of the Changqing Street Residential Commission, along with plain-clothes police officers from the "610 Office" (1) (a total of seven men and one woman) broke into a Wuhan City practitioner, Mr. Ni Guobin's residence and business facility and attempted to arrest him. However, Mr. Ni refused to sign the arrest warrant. He was able to relay information of his situation to outside sources.
At 3 p.m. local time, more than 20 police officers from the Wuhan City Public Security Bureau's National Security Team (the neighbors said that there were more than ten police cars parked outside Ni's residency) came to Mr. Ni's residency and searched his entire house. The police attempted to arrest Mr. Ni without any legal grounds, and without any evidence of misconduct. Mr. Ni again refused to sign the arrest warrant and kept on clarifying the truth to the residents who had gathered around. After 6 hours, at 6 p.m. local time, 4-5 officers cruelly beat and kicked Mr. Ni and abducted him in full public view.
The Director of the Wuhan City Public Security Bureau Dongxihu District Branch First Division, Feng Zhuanyun, declared during the arrest that Ni Guobin would be tortured to death.
Ni Guobin had been previously serving an unlawful 3-year prison sentence and had just been released from prison. His wife is 7 months pregnant and both his parents-in-law are in their 70s and suffering from severe diabetes.
All of Mr. Ni's office supplies, computer, fax machine, typewriter, and telephone were confiscated, and the police created a mess. Li Zemin, Wu Guozhi (the person who signed the confiscation itinerary) and Secretary Cao (in charge of the Changqing Street Residential Commission) signed as witnesses of the incident.
Both Ni Guobin and his wife are steadfast Dafa practitioners.
According to inside information, the Wuhan City Public Security Bureau arrested Falun Gong practitioners because Jiang Zemin was visiting Wuhan at the time.
Ni Guobin has a college degree and owns a private company.
