(Clearwisdom.net) This year is the general election year in the United States. Candidates from both parties are making great efforts to raise funds, preparing for a big battle in the election. Most of the funds are used to buy advertising time on TV or radio, so that the candidates can promote themselves, make election promises, and at the same time criticize their opponents. Although they have raised millions of dollars, the time they can buy is rather limited, and therefore, both parties spend most of their funds in states where the polls show that race will be a close one.
Why do they spend so much money on buying advertising time? The reason is very simple: Short advertisements on TV can have a huge impact on viewers. Although people in modern society have received a good education and have a strong ability to differentiate things, still, no one wants to admit that they could be brainwashed. In reality though, people can easily be influenced by advertisements. A few short sentences or a few pictures can stir up good feelings or raise suspicions that may change their minds. It is for the same reason that famous brands always spend a fortune hiring film stars to appear in their TV advertisements.
In the final analysis, in this modern era of information, it is extremely difficult to find objective information, especially for those who do not want to bother to think independently or do thorough research. These people are the most vulnerable when it comes to the issue of being fed information by others. In other words, although there is abundant information in society, people are still easily manipulated in their thinking due to their own weaknesses.
Compared to the advertising efforts by the two political parties in the United States, the brainwashing of the people by Jiang's regime in Mainland China is at a much higher level. Since July 20, 1999, when Jiang and his followers started to persecute Falun Gong, TV, radio and the press have been constantly attacking Falun Gong. If we were to describe the advertising by the two major political parties in the United States as a gentle shower, then the media attacks on Falun Gong in China could be described as a hurricane. The two US political parties have to buy advertising time, while the Jiang regime completely controls the media and instigates the media to lie and to propagate hate, even though the media is paid for by the people and should give them a voice.
The two parties in the United States each speak about their own policies and let the electorate make its own judgment, and they dare not stray too far away from the truth. Yet, Jiang's group has completely deprived Falun Gong practitioners of the right to speak. The authorities confiscated and burned Falun Gong books and used the media to fabricate stories to defame Falun Gong. They even found some mental patients who had committed murder and had them pretend to be Falun Gong practitioners in order to slander and defame Falun Gong. The advertisements by the two parties are exclusively for the purpose of the general election, while the propaganda by Jiang's regime is to incite hatred and to create momentum for genocide. Comparing the two, it is not difficult to see the malice and madness of Jiang's group.
In June 1999, under the direct instruction and personal supervision of Zhao Zhizhen, chief of Wuhan City TV station, the production team of the popular "Scientific Time" program on Wuhan TV went to Changchun and produced a special film entitled "The Story of Li Hongzhi." The film was full of distortions, slander and lies, and it was repeatedly broadcast nationwide via CCTV three days after the persecution began on July 22, 1999, inciting hatred against Falun Gong in society and adding fuel to the flames of the on-coming brutal persecution of Falun Gong.
Zhao Zhizhen's hands are stained with the blood of Falun Gong practitioners, just like the hands of Nazi Propaganda Minister Goebbels were stained with the blood of the Jewish people. Zhao Zhizhen has been sued outside China and he and Jiang and their accomplices must be brought to justice for their crimes of brainwashing the people.
