(Clearwisdom.net) Dafa disciples are one body. What does this mean? It can be understood at many different levels. At a basic level, it means that one should cultivate solidly and follow the requirements for a Dafa disciple in the Fa-rectification period. Not doing so is harming the overall body, for the purity of the whole is constituted by the purity of the particles that compose it.
Following that, well-cultivated practitioners should be selfless and always think of others first. They should be able to give ground in arguments and evaluate the opinions and thoughts of others based on the Fa. Doing so enables a group of practitioners in a certain region or city to coordinate and collaborate well. This way, they can conduct successful truth clarification activities and keep pace with the Fa-rectification process. If all cities and regions can develop a righteous and harmonious environment, then the overall body of practitioners in a country will be very healthy. It is a quite simple thing, but nevertheless crucial and indispensable.
Then how should the one body manifest itself on the entire planet? I raise this question because the situation in different countries seems to vary greatly and so does the degree of understanding of practitioners.
Some countries have only a handful of practitioners and sometimes only a few veteran practitioners who understand Fa-rectification and its requirements for Dafa cultivators. Some countries have no practitioners at all. From my understanding, these countries have less of the Dafa factors, and so they will be more prone to interference.
A good example of that is the case of the South Africa shooting where Jiang's group used hired gunmen to attack Falun Dafa practitioners. South Africa has few practitioners, so perhaps they thought they could get away with it. Of course, practitioners around the world used this event to expose the evil and clarify the truth. Practitioners from other countries also joined South African practitioners to support them during this crucial time. This was a great example of acting as one body, but I think we shouldn't acknowledge these evil acts and find ways to further prevent them and eliminate the evil before it takes action.
In regard to helping countries that have no Dafa disciples, here is what Master answered when asked at the 2004 Western U.S Fa Conference in Los Angeles:
"Question: What will happen to those countries where there are no Dafa disciples? How should we spread the Fa and clarify the truth in those distant countries?
Teacher: Dafa disciples are doing what Dafa disciples should do. If you're able to, you can go do that. You can go spread the Fa in places where there are no Dafa disciples. But when it comes to places where it's too difficult or places that have very close ties with that group of gangsters in China that persecutes Dafa disciples, you shouldn't go for the time being, because there are things that will need to be done during the next stage."
It is true that not all of us can go abroad to spread the Fa, but there is something that all of us can do. Namely, we can support other countries where there are few practitioners with our strong righteous thoughts. The few practitioners in these other countries face all kinds of interference and they are short of manpower. If we are conscious of the might of our righteous thoughts and if our compassion comes forth for these isolated practitioners, I'm sure the body of practitioners will grow stronger and the evil will truly have no place to hide. Of course, we shouldn't lose focus on cleaning out evil factors in China, but neither should we overlook other places. We should be like the Sage described by Master in Essentials for Further Advancement:
"He is full of great aspirations while minding minor details."
One body has no frontiers, the "Buddha Fa is boundless".
This is my present understanding. Please point out anything improper.
