In a village in northern China, there is a practitioner called Xiao Xiao who makes a living selling vegetables. One day he came across two plain-clothes policemen who were investigating a murder. Because he was selling vegetables at a major intersection, he was one of the people that they wanted to interview.
Over the following two days, the two policemen returned to ask Xiao Xiao more questions, and on one occasion they tore down a flyer reading, "Falun Dafa is Great," which was posted on a nearby telephone booth.
"Why tear it down?" Xiao Xiao seriously asked them, "It looks very good up there."
The policemen immediately turned around and asked him, "Do you practice Falun Gong?"
"Yes," he replied. "It is good for my health, so why not practice it?"
"We are the police," they said. "Are you not afraid that we might send you to jail?"
"I am not afraid," said Xiao Xiao. "I have been there before. Besides, we are all good people. Why should we be afraid? The fabricated propaganda campaigns all look very foolish. Just take a look at the self-immolation incident. One of the immolators doused herself in gasoline while the police waited nearby with a fire extinguisher. After the fire was lit, they just put it out. They are all fabricated events aimed at cheating innocent people, and you all know about them. Isn't that the truth?"
The police then started to laugh.
At that moment, another practitioner arrived and picked up the torn flyer. "Who did this?" said the practitioner, posting it back on the telephone booth. The two policemen said nothing about it. The practitioner continued, saying, "If everyone were like Falun Gong practitioners, then you two would not have to work so hard to investigate cases like this one. Can you two say which part of Falun Gong is not good?" The policemen listened to the practitioner's opinion and then said, "Falun Dafa actually is really good!"
