(Clearwisdom.net) At about 1:00 a.m. on July 12, 2004, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Gao Ruili of Shijinggou Street, Fengman District, Jilin City, Jilin Province was followed by police from the Shijingguo Police Station and later arrested because she had posted materials clarifying the facts about Falun Dafa. Two policemen, along with two clerks from the Shijingguo Neighborhood Committee, one of whom was a woman, handcuffed Ms. Gao and dragged her to her home in order to search it.
When they arrived at Ms. Gao's home, a policeman kicked the door open, and her sleeping relatives were jolted awake. Ms. Gao's daughter, who was only 19 months old, saw her mom and cried to be held by her. After numerous requests from the family, the police unlocked the handcuffs and allowed Ms. Gao to hold her daughter for a moment. The police confiscated the books Zhuan Falun and Hong Yin II, and a truth-clarifying flyer. The two policemen tore Hong Yin II into pieces on the spot. The police lied to Ms. Gao's husband, Mr. Hu, who is not a practitioner, telling him, "Come to police station tomorrow morning to get your wife back."
At 8:00 a.m. the next morning, Mr. Hu carried their daughter and went to the police station. When he arrived at the door of the police station, Ni Jun, the head of the police station, suddenly hit Mr. Hu on the head and fiercely kicked him. It was fortunate that Mr. Hu quickly moved his body so that Ni Jun kicked Hu's waist instead of his daughter. Otherwise the outcome would have been terrible. The baby was startled and cried loudly. Ni Jun then berated Mr. Hu and threatened him. After Mr. Hu's repeated requests he was eventually allowed to see his wife. At that time, his wife was handcuffed to a bed, and the police didn't allow them to talk to each other. As a result of this traumatizing event, their baby is still unable to sleep well.
When fellow practitioner Ms. Ma Fang learned the news, she went to the police station to bring meals to Ms. Gao. The police drove her away. Gao Ruili's brother-in-law went to see her and was also driven away. At about 11:00 a.m. on July 12, several policemen went to Ma Fang's bakery, arrested her, and searched her home. They also arrested a Dafa practitioner working at another bakery, but released them at about 11:30 a.m. the same day. At noon, Mr. Hu went to the police station again to ask for the release of his wife but was verbally abused by Ni Jun. It's said that Gao Ruili was transferred elsewhere that afternoon.
After Ma Fang was arrested on July 12, the police also searched her mother's home, and searched Ms. Ma Lan's bakery. She is Ma Fang's younger sister, and is also a Falun Gong practitioner. The police didn't even allow Ms. Ma Li, who is another of Ma Fang's younger sisters, and also a Falun Gong practitioner, to enter. They went to harass Ma Li, startling this pregnant woman who was very close to her delivery date. Those who participated in the home searches included police from the Shijinggou Police Station, and several clerks from the neighborhood committee. The scene of the raids terrified Ma Fang's parents so much that they dared not stay at home. They moved to a place in the mountains.
When local practitioners heard the news, they took action immediately. One practitioner took the lead and found the phone number of the Shijinggou Police Station from the Jilin City Telephone Exchange. He used a pay phone to call the head of the police station, Ni Jun, and asked Ni to release Gao Ruili. He told him the heavenly principle that good is rewarded with good and evil deeds are met with evil returns. Later, several practitioners shared understandings and realized that the things that happened to those fellow practitioners were also their own things. The practitioners realized that they should take this opportunity to expose the evil deeds in the local area. For example, while rescuing follow practitioners, they can tell the facts of Falun Gong to more people. As a result, they made dozens of calls to the police station. Some practitioners quickly made some stickers and posted them at many places in the city, an act that effectively frightened the persecutors. Meanwhile, they sent the news to the Clearwisdom website, exposing to the world the persecution of good people by Jiang's group.
