Wang Xia and her son (Before the persecution)
Wang Xia was persecuted to near death, weighing only about 45 pounds
Wang Xia's body looks badly distorted. She was persecuted to near death in the prison. The prison doctor said that she would live only about 2 or 3 more days. A person in charge of the prison said in front of several guards and a "610 Office" leader, "Move her to the mortuary for cremation!" The "610 Office" leader said: "We can't allow her to die in prison, let her family take her back as soon as possible. As her story has been posted on the Internet, her death can be treated as suicide if she dies at home." Those were the words of the law enforcement officials.
On June 26, 2004, the prison officials told Wang's father to come to the prison to take her back. At that time, Wang was unconscious and her father took her to a hospital for emergency rescue. However, she was forced to leave the hospital on the following day. After she got home, Wang started to show signs of mental disorder, so her family then rushed her to hospital again. After about 20 days, because her family didn't have enough money for treatment, Wang was forced to leave the hospital. She fades in and out of consciousness and shows signs of suffering from mental disorder. It is suspected that the she was injected with harmful psychotropic drugs. Even after she has been persecuted to this extent, when she was alert, with a very weak voice she said: "Falun Dafa is good."
Background
Wang Xia, 30, is a resident of Bayanzhuoer District of Linhe City, Inner Mongolia. She was sentenced to 7 years in labor camp for clarifying the truth about Falun Gong. During the summer of 2002, she was abducted the Inner Mongolia First Women's Prison. In the prison, in order to cover up the persecution, guards told her inmates that Wang was detained for "illegally selling CDs." Wang went on hunger strikes to protest the detention and tell people that she was innocent.
Over a long period of time, guards repeatedly force-fed her. They tied her arms to a bed so that she couldn't move during force-feeding. They also left the tube for force-feeding in her esophagus and only did a cursory cleaning every 7 or 14 days. Wang conducted hunger strikes over a period of 2 years, and guards force-fed her each time. In these two years, guards also shocked her with electric batons, hung her up and beat her. Wang was persecuted to the point of being in critical condition several times.
On May 12 and July 30, 2004, the Chinese version of Clearwisdom published urgent reports about Wang Xia.
In Inner Mongolia, several centers including the Huhehaote Women Labor Camp have been used to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. From 1999 to now, thousands of practitioners have been detained there, and almost every practitioner has been beaten and shocked with electric batons. To date, nine practitioners have been killed, dozens have been sent to mental hospitals, and hundreds are still being persecuted in these centers.
We call on all kind-hearted people worldwide to pay close attention to Wang Xia's case and the persecution. The Jiang regime is still brutally persecuting good people.
