(Clearwisdom.net) On the 9th of August, 2004, Falun Gong practitioners from across the UK and France held a parade to highlight the persecution of Falun Gong that is taking place in China today. The parade was a follow up to the cavalcade which was held the previous day.

Overview of the parade
Although it rained during the parade, those who participated were not perturbed and solemnly carried on. The parade included practitioners holding banners, followed by a float on which an anti-torture exhibition took place, which in turn was followed by a procession of female Falun Gong practitioners holding photos of some of those who have died under Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin and his regime during the persecution of Falun Gong.

The horrific nature of the staged torture scenes caught people's attention and successfully highlighted the inhumane persecution that is happening in China. Many people took leaflets to learn more, and others eagerly took photographs. The event was recorded in Edinburgh's Evening News with a large photo of one of the reenacted torture methods.
