(Clearwisdom.net) The principles in the human world are the opposite of the righteous principles of the universe. Therefore, humans think differently from gods. For example, on issues involving gain and loss, most humans believe that the more the merrier, and they would like to acquire all the money in the world. No one wants to lose, and even a tiny bit of loss would pain their hearts. Gods thinks otherwise:
"The more one gains, the more one infringes upon others. One will get things one does not deserve. This person will be attached to fame and profit, thus losing de." (Zhuan Falun)
So the real gain is to give up and contribute.
On the issue of hardship and happiness, no everyday person wants to endure hardship, and everyone wants to have pleasure and live a comfortable life. The gods think that comfort is a drain to one's fortune. Pleasure comes at the expense of losing de. On the other hand, enduring hardship is paying back one's karma. Therefore, Master Li wrote in his poem, "Let joy be found in hardship." (Hongyin, "Tempering the Will")
On the understanding of the universe, humans think that what's under our feet is earth, and heaven is above our heads. But gods believe that all substances made up from molecules (earth, sky, ocean, air, forest, etc.) are all earth, while the spaces made up of more microscopic particles are heaven.
On the current evil persecution, humans believe that it is people persecuting people. But gods believe that the evil old forces are controlling the dark minions and rotten demons, who in turn manipulate bad people to persecute Dafa disciples.
The above examples list some of the differences between humans and divine beings due to different perspectives. In general, humans look at things on a flat surface, but divine beings look at things from a three dimensional perspective. Human views are bound within our living space. Even the 3-D space as defined by humans still belongs to a planar level.
Teacher said in "Teaching the Fa at the 2004 Western U.S. Fa Conference":
"The biggest difference between how divine beings and how human beings look at the cosmos is that divine beings don't look at things on the basis of the structure of this one layer of particles. They simultaneously look at things from all directions and three-dimensionally, on the basis of the combined cosmic structures of the different layers of particles below that and the different layers of particles above that. They can see the whole structural appearance of things at different levels in the cosmos, and see what they look like on a fundamental level. Human beings, on the other hand, can only see this world that's composed of this molecular layer of particles; they can only see things that are composed of this layer of particles. But the cosmos isn't composed of just this one layer of particles."
The perspective that one sees things from is a sign of his realm. If you look at things from a plane field, then you are a human. If you can see things from a three-dimensional volumetric perspective, then you are a god. Dafa disciples are still cultivating themselves. We have not reached the end of our cultivation. Therefore, we are not totally divine beings yet. But we are humans on the way to becoming divine beings. We should follow Teacher's words in Zhuan Falun:
"As true practitioners, we should look at issues from a very high level instead of from the perspective of everyday people."
Although we currently cannot completely reach the level of "simultaneously look at things from all directions and three-dimensionally," we must jump out of the planar view of the human level and try to observe them from the gods' perspective. This is a very significant point to our personal cultivation, as well as our effort to save people and end the persecution. If we can see things from the gods' perspective, we will have strong righteous thoughts, be more diligent and walk forward solidly.
To really see things from the gods' perspective, we must study the Fa with our best effort. Teacher told us about the structure of the cosmos and the characters of different time-spaces. Teacher also explained to us about the difference between inside the three realms and outside. If we have a good understanding of the Fa, we can naturally "look at issues from a very high level," namely from the gods' perspective. It makes no difference whether your celestial eye is open or not, or whether you can see or not. As long as our realm is beyond that of the human, we can see the truth that humans can't.
This has been my personal understanding. Please correct me if you see anything inappropriate.
