(Clearwisdom.net) In the classic Chinese novel, Romance of the Three Kingdoms, there was a story about personal rivalry between Zhuge Liang, the most famous military strategist in Chinese history, and a less talented military strategist, Zhou Yu, who saw Zhuge Liang as his archenemy. In the story, Zhuge Liang did not kill Zhou Yu, but he defeated him in three consecutive battles with his ingenious strategies, which severely injured Zhou Yu's pride and caused him to die of anger. Why on earth would a man die of anger?
Analogically speaking, a human body can be thought of as a carriage pulled by five horses, namely the heart, liver, spleen, lungs and kidneys. A person's Primordial Spirit has a direct influence over these five organs. When Zhou Yu was enraged, his heart, liver, spleen, lungs and kidneys were also enraged. Because these five organs dominate a human body, Zhou Yu's entire body down to every single cell was enraged. A human body consists of cells. In other words, cells are building blocks for a human body. When Zhou Yu was enraged, each and every cell in his body was enraged. The enraged cells then began to hurt each other. When every brick in a building is shaking and disconnecting from each other, the building will collapse. When all the cells disconnect from each other, a human body will fall apart and die.
Teacher said,
"Throughout history the Tao School has considered the human body a small universe: It believes that the exterior of the universe is as big as its interior, and that its exterior looks the same as its interior." (Lecture Eight of Zhuan Falun)
Teacher said,
"Sakyamuni also spoke of the theory of three thousand worlds. He stated that, in our universe and our Milky Way, there are three thousand planets with living beings that have physical bodies like our human race. He also stated that there were three thousand such worlds in a grain of sand. A grain of sand is thus just like a universe, with people having wisdom like ours, planets, mountains, and rivers. It sounds quite inconceivable! If so, think about it, everyone: Is there sand in those three thousand worlds? And are there another three thousand worlds in any one of those grains of sand? Then, is there sand in those three thousand worlds? Then, are there still three thousand worlds in any one of those grains of sand? Accordingly, at the level of Tathagata, one is unable to see its end."
"The same is true with human molecular cells. People ask how big the universe is. Let me tell you that this universe also has its boundary. Even at the level of Tathagata, however, one will regard it as boundless and infinitely immense. Yet the human body's inside is as big as this universe, from molecules to microscopic particles at the microscopic level. This may sound very inconceivable. When a human being or a life is created, his unique life elements and essential quality are already composed at the extremely microscopic level." (Lecture Two of Zhuan Falun)
Cells, molecules, atoms, atomic nuclei, electrons, quarks, and neutrons that make up a human body are different layers of the universe. Particles of different layers work independently, but they are also part of the whole universe of a human body and are controlled by a person's Primordial Spirit.
On the other hand, when we are truly kind to others, our heart, liver, lungs, spleen, and kidneys are also kind. When we treat others with sincerity and honesty, our heart, liver, lungs, spleen, and kidneys are also sincere and honest. When we tolerate others, our heart, liver, lungs, spleen, and kidneys are tolerating too. When our heart, liver, lungs, spleen, and kidneys become kind, truthful and tolerant, the fiver organs are in harmony. When the five organs are in harmony, the flow of our meridians will be running smoothly, the external evil spirit will be unable to invade our bodies, and we will become healthy. When we are in good health, we won't need to go see a doctor or take any medicine. In fact, millions of Faun Gong practitioners have become physically healthy and strong because they believe in Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance, Falun Gong's cultivation principles.
Nowadays when people say "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance is good" or "Falun Gong is good," they charge righteous thoughts and sense of justice in themselves. Naturally their five organs will benefit from the good energy of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance is good" and "Falun Gong is good." According to traditional Chinese medicine, "With righteous spirits inside, a person's body will be spared from the evil's interference." If a man is able to do so, he will be spared from illness, disasters, or bad luck.
There is a Chinese idiom, "The gods will ultimately reward kind people and punish bad people." Actually, when a person has kind thoughts, each particle in his body becomes benevolent. His heart, liver, spleen, lungs, and kidneys will also become kind and they will be in harmony. No one can attain this harmonious state with money. One is already being rewarded when one develops kind thoughts. On the other hand, when a person develops a bad thought, each and every cell in his body becomes depraved. His heart, liver, spleen, lungs, and kidneys will also become depraved and start to hurt each other. His health will be in jeopardy as a result. With this in mind, a person is immediately rewarded for his kindness and punished for his depravity.
