Facts of the Persecution
1. The Torture Room in the Liyuzhuang Brainwashing Class in Dingxing County, Hebei Province
There is a room full of torture devices in the Liyuzhuang Brainwashing Class in Dingxing County, Hebei Province. These devices include electric batons, rubber batons, handcuffs, and steel chains hanging from the beams. All these are used to torture Falun Dafa practitioners. They do not allow practitioners to sleep, use electric batons to shock them, and handcuff practitioners so that the cuffs cut into the flesh, causing profuse bleeding. They also brutally beat practitioners with rubber batons. The rubber batons contain a metal core, which is quiet but extremely painful. They also drag practitioners into the torture room, stuff their mouths so they cannot be heard, hang them up on the steel chains, then cruelly beat them as if they were trying to kill them. This results in deep bruises all over practitioners' bodies. Practitioner Ms. Xiong Fengxia from Guchengsan Street, Dingxing County, was beaten to death while being tortured this way.

2. Police in Liuchangshan Detention Center in Jinan City Persecute Practitioner Mr. Meng Lijun
On the afternoon of December 20, 2004, the Jinan City 610 Office and police from the Tianqiao Police Station arrested practitioner Mr. Meng Lijun from Zhangqiu City, who has been destitute and homeless the past two years to avoid being illegally arrested at home. They sent him to the Liuchangshan Detention Center, where he suffered from brutal forced-feedings and was cuffed onto a death bed. After he went on a hunger strike for more than fifteen days, his life was in danger. Police were afraid of being held responsible for his death, so they released him but still send people to monitor him at home.
