Dear Minghui Editor,
I read a Minghui (Chinese version of Clearwisdom) report about a practitioner who used the money she obtained from selling her beautiful hair to make truth-clarification materials. I was deeply moved by this story. It made me think. I am writing this so that more people can realise the touching stories behind our truth-clarification materials. It is to let everybody know that each and every flyer was not made easily, and thus each one should be treasured!
After the end of my three-year illegal prison term in a forced labor camp, I returned to a home that didn't belong to me anymore. I found three hundred yuan that had gone through so many places and so many practitioners' hands. The money looked worn out and old. It evoked my emotions about an incident that took place three years ago.
It was towards the end of October, on a Friday in 2001. I went to deliver materials at the home of a practitioner's aunt. Before leaving, she took out 300 yuan and told me that the money was from three different practitioners living in a suburb of Guangzhou. The 300 yuan was a contribution for making truth-clarification materials. After much hesitation, I told aunty that our site did not require money at this time. Since we could not accept the money, I would prefer that she return the money to the contributor. Aunty then replied, "If it's like this, then it will create great difficulty for me, since last time when we received the money we returned it to the senders. For some strange reason, the three practitioners who made the contribution asked someone to bring it back again, insisting that the money be used to make truth-clarification materials. If you refuse to accept it, I really don't know how to deal with it." Aunty then went on to explain the situation of the three practitioners, who were not very well off. Their unshakable wish of wanting to help save sentient beings with whatever they could afford really shone forth like gold. Under these circumstances, I accepted the contribution reluctantly. I put the money inside my backpack, thinking that other, larger sites might be able to use the money since their expenses might be greater. Perhaps the next time when practitioners from those sites came to deliver materials to me, I could give them the money.
The next day was Saturday. Normally, our company was open for business for half a day only. As I prepared to resign my position from work, I was betrayed by my boss, who reported me to the police. This ultimately resulted in my arrest. Later on, I came to know that the public security office had coerced him into cooperating with them. I was sentenced to three years of hard labor.
In March 2004, because of my refusal to accept "transformation", my husband came to the labor camp to divorce me. I agreed to give up everything that I owed him. However, I thought about the 300 yuan that was inside the backpack. After my release from prison in October 2004, I returned to my former home to pick up my personal belongings. I found the backpack that I had used three years ago. Anxiously, I opened the bag. Everything inside was untouched. The 300 yuan remained quietly tucked away inside the compartment of my backpack. For the past three years, it had been laying there calmly and silently, without my former husband discovering it. I knew that it was our benevolent Master's protection and arrangement that safeguarded it. Although the figure of 300 yuan appears small, it was nonetheless the wish of three fellow practitioners who wanted to use what they had to save the world's sentient beings. The 300 yuan silently waited for three long years for me to return, to fulfill the magnificent and righteous wishes of three fellow practitioners.
Today, although I am in the northern part of the country, I want to let the three anonymous practitioners know that the truth-clarification materials made possible through the contribution of 300 yuan have been put to good use. The materials will indeed reach those predestined sentient beings.
