Several years ago, the police arrested me and put me in prison after I went to Beijing to appeal against the persecution of Falun Dafa. Every week, I was forced to watch brainwashing programs and document my thoughts afterwards. In the beginning, I resisted doing so. Later, I thought I should write down my experience of practicing Falun Dafa and its principles of guiding people to be kind. When these officers came to speak to me, I always spoke to them in a calm and compassionate demeanor. I told them about the benefits that Falun Dafa had brought to society and how the state-run media in China had distorted the facts and slandered the practice and its founder.
One day, I personally spoke to the division head alone. He said, "I have earnestly read every article you wrote. I don't understand Falun Gong. I don't believe in God either. But if the Communist Party does not perish, it won't be tolerated by the heavenly principles."
It has been several years since my release from detention. I have often seen, over the Internet, persecution reports from the prison site where I was held. However, none has been posted from the division where I was held.
