(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhai Zhen, who lived in Tumenzi Village, Tumenzi Township, Qinglong County, Hebei Province was harassed and tortured many times. He died on April 7, 2003.
Mr. Zhai Zhen, 49 years old, went to Beijing to clarify the truth and validate Falun Dafa, and came back home openly and with dignity. Ever since then, he was constantly harassed and threatened by the police from the Township government or local Police Substation.
When Mr. Zhai was detained, the police flogged him with a leather whip a few dozen times, which made his skin turn black. On January 19, 2003, Tumenzi Police Substation Director Liu Yanwen, Village Party Secretary Yang Junsheng and others harassed him at home. They confiscated all his Falun Dafa books and materials. Mr. Zhai Zhen was very regretful and depressed that he failed to protect his Falun Dafa books. His old illnesses returned and he died on April 7, 2003.
So far, at least four Falun Dafa practitioners from Qinglong County were tortured to death.
Ms. Zhang Zhibin, 32 years old, was employed by the County Department Store. She had been detained at the Qinglong County Detention Center four times, sentenced to forced labor, and was tortured to death on December 18, 2000.
Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Hu Hexiang, 58 years old, lived in Badaohe Township, Qinglong County, Hebei Province. He was arrested and detained on July 18, 2001. He had been tortured mercilessly and died on January 28, 2002.
Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Song Youchun, 54 years old, was from Tumenzi Township . On December 2, 2003, he and his family of three were abducted from home by County State Security Agent Zhang Shujun, Political Security Officer Li Changxing, and Liu Changhe, as well as Town Police Substation Director Liu Yanwen, and police officers Chen Xiaohu, and Yu Changguo. Mr. Song died after being tortured viciously for fourteen days.
