Ms. Wang Xiaoli was born in 1967 and worked at the Number10 National Textile Factory in Qingdao City. She began to practice Falun Gong in 1996. In August 2001, because she clarified the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong to the people at her workplace and refused to write a "guarantee statement" to give up practicing Falun Gong, she was abducted and sent to the 610 Office Brainwashing Center in the Shandong Province Forced Labor Camp in Wangcun Town, Zibo City, for persecution. Five or six prisoners monitored her around the clock. They didn't allow her to sleep, not even a nap, for five consecutive days and nights. They brainwashed her, saturating her with deceitful propaganda that slandered and vilified Falun Gong 24 hours a day. When Ms. Wang Xiaoli was in a mentally unstable frame of mind as a result of the torture, she was forced to write a so-called repentance statement. Ms. Wang was released after being imprisoned for one month.
After Ms. Wang was released, she deeply regretted what she had done. She immediately published a solemn statement on the Clearwisdom website declaring her "repentance statement" null and void and said she would continue practicing Falun Dafa with firm resolution. Before the 2002 Chinese New Year, she and her husband headed to her in-law's home to celebrate the festival. On the way, while they were distributing truth-clarifying materials that exposed the facts of the persecution, they were reported and arrested by police from the Langye Town Police Station in Jiaonan City. Ms. Wang was illegally interrogated until midnight. Her husband escaped with righteous thoughts. Ms. Wang Xiaoli was sent to the Shandong Province Forced Labor Camp in Wangcun Town for a year and a half of forced labor.
The day Ms.Wang Xiaoli arrived at the forced labor camp she managed to escape. While she was using the phone to contact her mother, police from the Luoyang Road Police Station intercepted the conversation and discovered her whereabouts. In an illegal pursuit, Wang Xiaoli was persecuted to death. She left a daughter, Wang Chunlei, who is being taken care of by her father. Wang Chunlei, born in 1993, was nine when her mother died.
She is now 13 and in her first year of junior high at the Qingdao City Number 56 Middle School
She lives with her father.
