Six months later, his father was unjustly arrested and was sentenced to four years in prison. Now, Longlong is leading a difficult life with his aged grandparents. I. Longlong's Father Li Gang
Falun Dafa practitioner Li Gang was born on November 12, 1970 in Zhougezhuangcun, Zhougezhuang Town, Laixi City, Qingdao City, Shandong Province. From 1989 to 1993, he studied in the Department of Applied Physics and Thermo Energy at the Middle South Industry University, Changsha City, Hunan Province. He graduated with a four-year college degree. From September 1995 to April 1998, he studied for his Master's Degree at the Middle South Industry University. Because he would not renounce Falun Gong, he was dismissed by his employer, the Oriental Electronics Inc, Yantai City, Shandong Province. Later, he worked in the Research and Development Department of Haixin Software Inc. He worked on a software project for the police and political management. Li Gang decided that he could not use his skills to serve organizations that persecute Falun Dafa. Moreover, Haixin Inc. demanded that he make a statement to give up Falun Dafa. Without hesitation, he gave up his high salary job. After his resignation, he found a management position in the Development Department of a software company in Qingdao City. He worked there until his arrest.
On November 9, 2002, the National Security Bureau of Qingdao City secretly arrested Li Gang. And on December 19, 2002, the Licang District Police Bureau of Qingdao City arrested him. The arrest was illegally approved by the Licang District Procuratorate. Later, the People's Court of Licang District sentenced him to four years in prison. On July 2, 2003, he was sent to the Fourth Brigade in the Weibei Prison. On July 27, he was transferred to the Education Division of the prison where he was subjected to brainwashing.
In September 2003, he was transferred to the Fifth Squadron in the Seventh Brigade of the Weibei Prison. In February 2004, he was transferred to the Second Squadron of the Seventh Brigade for clearly stating his determination to uphold his belief in Falun Dafa in a report demanded by the prison. In March, Song Liguo, the instructor of the Second Squadron shocked Li Gang with an electric baton for participating in a collective protest of the illegal detention of practitioners. They protested to demand an end to the persecution and the unconditional release Falun Gong practitioners, and to resist the hard labor.

II. Longlong's Mother and Grandparents
Longlong's mother is Gan Xiaoning. She is from Jinchang City, Gansu Province. She graduated from the Middle South Industry University, Changsha City, Hunan Province. Like Longlong's father, she was also a determined Falun Gong practitioner. She passed away in May 2002 as a result of the persecution.
Now, seven-year-old Longlong lives with his aged grandparents. When he was asked if he missed his father, he nodded his head and his eyes filled with tears. He cried, "I miss my daddy!"
For the last several years, his grand parents' livelihood depended on Li Gang's salary as he was their source of income for the family. Li Gang has been jailed for two years. Longlong and his grandparents are experiencing immense hardship.
After Li Gang was sentenced unjustly, the general manager and other officials of his former employer went to the Dashan Detention Center of Qingdao City to visit him. When Li Gang's father went to the company to collect Li Gang's salary, the company gave him the full month's of Li Gang's salary. Moreover, the company paid over 400 yuan of income tax on behalf of Li Gang. The family was moved by the kindhearted deeds of the Li Gang's company.
