(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Lv Guiqin from Fuxin City, Liaoning Province was illegally detained and had money extorted from her on many occasions. She left her home and moved from place to place to avoid being persecuted, and died on the evening of January 14, 2005.
Ms. Lü Guixin, 64, was a resident from Fuxin City, Liaoning Province. She learned Falun Gong in 1996. She had previously suffered from heart disease, tracheitis, rheumatism and other illnesses. Within six months of starting Falun Gong practice, her illnesses vanished.
On December 25, 2000, she went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. Even before she boarded the train, local police arrested her and they incarcerated her in the Fuxin City Detention Center. She was not released until her family paid 5,000 yuan in extortion money.
In July 2001, while Lü Guiqin was clarifying the facts of Falun Gong, she was again unlawfully arrested and incarcerated for 20 days. She was also forced to pay 3,000 yuan.
In August 2002, she went out to clarify the facts. She was arrested yet again and had another 3,000 yuan extorted from her.
In 2004, she was arrested at her home, forcibly taken to the police station without due cause, and forced to pay 5,000 yuan. In August 2004, police again went to her home, attempting to arrest her. She had no choice but to escape and leave her home, moving from place to move to avoid arrest. She died on the evening of January 14, 2005.
