(Clearwisdom.net) On May 3, 2005, Australia practitioners again went to the Singapore Embassy in Canberra to appeal the unjust verdict issued by a Singapore court several days ago against two Falun Gong practitioners, Ms. Ng Chye Huay and Ms. Cheng Lujin. They requested the Singapore government to stop participating in the persecution of Falun Gong, and not become an accomplice of the CCP. The practitioners also delivered petitions from practitioners and people from all walks of life to the embassy staff.
Falun Gong practitioners from Campsie said in the petition, "We are shocked to learn that the Singapore government openly interferes with the citizens' freedom of belief. They have imprisoned two Falun Gong practitioners, Ms. Ng Chye Huay and Ms. Cheng Lujin, for practicing the exercises at Esplanade Park and clarifying the facts about the persecution of Falun Gong to the public. We express our strong protest against such an autocratic act."
Representative of the Democratic Front (Australia branch) Qin Jin wrote in the petition, Singapore Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Ng and Cheng received unjust punishment issued by a Singapore court for telling people about the persecution of Falun Gong in China. Singapore's Lee Kuan Yew and his son have long been supporting the CCP's wicked acts. In 1989, when the CCP shot and killed unarmed students in Tiananmen Square, Lee Kuan Yew openly supported the CCP's atrocities. The Singapore court's persecution of Ms. Ng and Ms. Cheng is clearly backed by the Lee Hsien Loong government as a way to please the CCP. This probably has something to do with Chinese leader Hu Jintao's recent visit to Southeast Asian countries. The vanishing of the Lee Hsien Loong government's conscience has incurred indignation and condemnation from many people. Today, as we gather in front of the Singapore Embassy, we want to convey a clear message to the Singapore government and Lee Hsien Loong himself through the embassy: acting as accomplices to evildoers will not have good outcomes. Wake up before it is too late, return to the righteous path, and deal with Falun Gong practitioners justly.
A representative of the Association of Australians in Support of Falun Gong wrote in the petition that they hoped the Singapore government will correct the court's mistake and help lead the Singapore people to a good future.
