1. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Police Arrest Feng Jian
Police led by Wu Guang, an official of the Fushun City Political and Judiciary Committee, secretly arrested Falun Dafa practitioner Feng Jian. It has been reported that Feng Jian is being held at the Fushun City Drug Rehabilitation Center for persecution.
2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Officers from Ziyou Road Police Station Continue Their Attempt to Send Practitioner Sun Shibin to Forced Labor Camp
Police from the Ziyou Road Police Station arrested practitioner Sun Shibin, a teacher at the Affiliated High School of Northeastern Normal University in Changchun City on Wednesday, April 6, 2005. The authorities were to sentence Sun to one year of forced labor, but Sun failed the physical examination and is currently being hospitalized in the Changchun Chinese-Japanese Friendship Hospital. However, Wang Yugang and other officers from the Ziyou Road Police Station continued to harass Sun in the hospital in an attempt to carry out the original plan of persecution through forced labor.

3. [Jingmen, Hubei Province] Zhang Chaoqun Arrested for Writing a Letter to Persuade Others to Be Good
In 2004, practitioner Zhang Chaoqun wrote a letter to Jiang Zhenbao, who works in the Security Section at Fangmashan Mine in the Jingmen area. In the letter, Zhang kindly told Jiang the facts about the unlawful persecution suffered by Falun Dafa practitioners. Jiang refused to reflect on his own participation in the persecution. Instead, he turned the letter over to the "601 Office." He volunteered to help the 610 Office arrest Zhang. Zhang Chaoqun was arrested at the end of January 2005 and has since been secretly sentenced to prison.

4. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Gu Bihua Taken to a Brainwashing Center for Distributing Truth Clarifying Materials
On March 30, 2005, Ms. Gu Bihua from Chengdu City was arrested for distributing truth-clarifying materials in a supermarket near the Chengdu Aviation Profession and Technology School. She has been sent to a brainwashing center in Zhongjiang County.
Ms. Gu has long been under surveillance by the local police station and community officials for practicing Falun Dafa. These officers sent people to monitor her movements at the gate of the family quarters where she lives. Occasionally they broke into her home and demanded that she write the so-called Guarantee Statement to give up practicing Falun Gong. In 2003, Ms. Gu and her husband were invited by their daughter, who lived in Beijing, to spend the Spring Festival together in Beijing. Only days after Ms. Gu and her husband arrived at their daughter's home, officials sent by the local police station and the community office showed up to take her and her non-practitioner husband back to Chengdu against their will. The family union was disrupted right before the Spring Festival.

5. [Shanghai] Ms. Liu Jun Sentenced to One Year of Forced Labor for Posting Truth Clarifying Materials
In May 2004, three police officers broke into Ms. Liu Jun's home in Shanghai. They searched her home and confiscated Falun Dafa books. One book contained a sheet of paper with telephone numbers. Ms. Liu grabbed the book from the officers and chewed and swallowed the paper. Later she was taken to the Jing'an District Police Department. On the way there, she shouted, "Falun Dafa is great! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!" At the police department, she continued to clarify the truth and was released the same night.
On August 6, 2004, Ms. Liu was arrested while posting truth-clarifying materials. She was sentenced to twelve months of forced labor.

6. [Shanghai] Shanghai Practitioners Sentenced to Prison for Clarifying the Truth
Ms. Zhou Shumei, Ms. Liu Fendi, Ms. Hua Liping, and Ms. Wu Peiyu were followed while clarifying the truth in 2004. On June 6, 2004, they were taken into custody at the Hongkou District Detention Center. The next day they were placed in detention. On July 13, 2004, they were formally placed under arrest.
On April 11, 2005, the Hongkou District Court in Shanghai issued the following sentences:
Ms. Zhou Shumei, six years in prison; Ms. Liu Fendi, seven years in prison; Ms. Hua Liping, three years in prison; Ms. Wu Peiyu, three years in prison, a term which is suspended for the first three years.

Xiamen City Practitioner Mr. Lin Weiwen was arrested on April 5, 2004 and sentenced to three years in prison. Mr. Lin's father has been diagnosed with cancer. His family member brought the doctor's diagnosis to the authorities, asking for the release of Mr. Lin so he could take care of his father. Their request was rejected.
8. [Fujian Province] Ms. Hong Huizhu Arrested at Her Home for Clarifying the Truth to Patients in the Hospital Where She Works
Ms. Hong Huimei is an employee of the Xiangcheng Chinese Medicine Hospital in Zhangzhou, Fujian Province. She clarified the truth to patients who were hospitalized in the Internal Medicine Division. Cai Jincai, deputy Party secretary of the hospital; Huang, deputy chief of the Xiangcheng District Health Bureau; and Wu Xiaoyu, deputy head nurse of the Intense Care Department, offered rewards to encourage doctors and nurses of the Internal Medicine Division to bring charges against Ms. Hong. The three officials also instigated Li Zongyan, of the hospital's security section, to call Liu Wei of the Xiangcheng Police Department to file the case. Around 11:30 a.m. on December 8, 2004, plainclothes police officers kicked open the door of Ms. Hong's home. Two male officers handcuffed her and took her into custody.
Ms. Hong remained in custody after 15 days of detention. Ms. Hong Huizhu's daughter, Ms. Yang Qingshan, and her eldest sister were on their way to send her clothes on the afternoon of January 1, 2005, when a truck hit them. Ms. Yang remained unconscious for an extended period of time. Her life has been sustained by feeding via a nasal tube. Ms. Hong's eldest sister's legs were fractured. She still has casts on her legs. Ms. Yang suffered a fractured pelvis. She is not able to move the right side of her body, is bedridden, and has to be taken care of by dedicated personnel.
