Unjustified Demands Made When Visiting Family Members in Jail
In 2005, the sister of a practitioner in Northeastern China named Qiuping (alias) went to visit her brother who was detained. The jail has a rule: Family members of jailed Falun Gong practitioners must slander the founder of Falun Gong before they are allowed to visit their family members. Qiuping does not practice Falun Gong, but she knows that Falun Gong practitioners become good people after they begin following the principles of the practice. When the police forced Qiuping to slander the Teacher of Falun Gong, Qiuping asked, "Why do you ask me to slander people? What rule is this? From my childhood, my mother taught me not to slander people." The officers said without any explanation, "If you do not slander the founder of Falun Gong, you are not allowed to see your brother."
Qiuping did not compromise and said: "I must see my brother today." She then went to the administration office. At first, the administration office personnel said the same thing that the police had said in the reception room, but Qiuping was not frightened. Disagreeing with their arguments, she told the policemen: "Not only will I not slander anyone today, but also I must see my brother unconditionally." The policemen in the jail administration office were subdued by her vigor and her uncompromising sense of justice. They called the officers in the reception room and told them to let Qiuping see her brother.
Three Plainclothes Policemen Enlighten to the Truth
In 2005 a practitioner named Xingyu (alias), from Jilin Province, was clarifying the truth to passengers on a long-distance bus. Many people surrounded him and listened to him. At this time, three people suddenly took out their ID's and said to him, "We are plainclothes policemen." The three policemen even took out a video camera, wanting to record the scene, and threatened Xingyu. But Xingyu did not panic. While sending righteous thoughts, he said to them, "No matter what you do, you need to know the truth. I am telling you the truth today. It is completely for your benefit. I do not have any personal purpose for this at all." Xingyu kept a calm heart and continued to clarify the truth to the three policemen and the other passengers. Two hours passed, and after arriving at their destination, the three policemen said to Xingyu, "Be careful of your safety in the future when clarifying the truth." Then they got off the bus and left.
Sincerely For the Benefit of Others
One night, a practitioner went out to distribute truth-clarifying materials. When arriving at the door of a house, a woman came out and asked, "What are you doing?" The practitioner replied calmly, "I am distributing flyers, please learn the truth." The lady asked suspiciously, "Why don't you distribute flyers during the daytime? Why do you come at night?" The practitioner said, "I have no time during the day, I have to work, and I only have time at night." The lady took the flyer agreeably. What we do is most righteous. We do it sincerely and for other's benefit. This is a manifestation of our compassion.
