(Clearwisdom.net) On July 21, 2005, Falun Gong practitioners took part in the annual Klondike Days parade in Edmonton and won the Celebration Award commending the best music, customs and/or dance design.
The Klondike Days Parade is the largest parade celebration activity of the year in Edmonton, attracting more than 200,000 spectators watching the parade in person, along with about three million TV viewers watching the live broadcast of the parade. This year was the second time that Falun Gong practitioners took part in the parade. The practitioners' float was designed based on the theme of a sailing Fa boat guided by celestial maidens holding lotus flowers. Accompanied by the music Pu Du, and lotus flowers on the Fa boat, the raised three sails represented "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" that leads people to return to their original home. In front of the float was the vigorous waist drummers' group, and at the end of the contingent was a huge banner reading "Falun Dafa."
