(Clearwisdom.net) The late Mr. Li Maoxun, a retired Division Officer from Dalian City Procuratorate, was a steadfast Falun Gong practitioner. On August 16, 1999, he was detained for 15 days by officials operating outside the law, and sentenced to one year in a forced labor camp on June 16, 2000. He was forced to stay at the Dalian Forced Labor Camp for 14 months. In November 2001, he suffered a cerebral hemorrhage; however he persisted in practicing Falun Gong. His daughter was also sentenced to three years in a forced labor camp. The prolonged and continuous stress caused Li Maoxun's second cerebral hemorrhage, which took his life on March 31, 2005.
