(Clearwisdom.net) Weibei Prison is a large facility situated in the northern Hanting District, about 40 kilometers north of Weifang City. The prison warden Chen Jian and former deputy head Yang Youlin have been cruelly persecuting Falun Gong practitioners since July 20, 1999. Some practitioners have lost their lives, and some have become disabled from being tortured inside the camp. On December 3, 2004, authorities arrested TV news reporter and host Mr. Li Guang from the Laizhou City TV Station and put him in Ward Five of Weibei Prison. Prison guards tortured him to death, as Li refused to give up his faith in Falun Dafa. In April 2003, policemen detained practitioner Chu Liwen from Taibao Village, Changyi Town, Weifang City. In Weibei Prison, Mr. Chu Liwen suffered from inhuman torture. Four to five prison guards simultaneously used electric batons to shock him and handcuffed and kicked him. In addition, they used iron bars to clamp both of his legs together. However, good is rewarded with good and evil provokes karmic retribution. Within the past few years, the perpetrators have met with karmic retribution.
The Prison Guard Who Tortured Mr. Li Guang Died in a Motorbike Accident.
On May 15, 2005,while on his way to work on a motorbike, Liu Chuandong, head of the education section in Ward Five of Weibei Prison, crashed into a roadblock near the entrance of the prison hospital due to sudden lightning. Liu was not wearing a helmet at the time. He was taken to Weifang People's Hospital and died five days later.
Liu Chuandong, from Changyi, Weifang City, 42 years old, was transferred to Ward Five in Weibei Prison from Qinghai Prison in 1997. In early July 2002, Liu forced practitioners to stand under the baking sun for more than one week. In July 2004, Liu and his accomplices used electric batons to shock a practitioner nonstop for over four hours because that practitioner had refused to work as a slave. Liu said to him, "We have prepared for you like this for days. We know you will come to this stage." Liu hated practitioner Li Guang and often assaulted him with an electric baton.
Liu Chuandong was directly responsible for the death of practitioner Li Guang. Half a year after Mr. Li's death, perpetrator Liu Chuandong died near the hospital where practitioner Li's body was taken. (Mr. Li Guang was tortured to death in the confinement room of Ward Five. He had stopped breathing before he was taken to Weifang Hospital.)
The sudden death of Liu Chuandong shocked other policemen. Around mid-June of this year, heavy showers with lightning and thunder lasted for sometime. Phone lines and TV sets in Ward Five were damaged, causing a long blackout, and some policemen were extremely shaken by the incident.
Supervision Section Head Drowned
Fang Hanliang, former head of the supervision section of Ward Two, participated in persecuting practitioners and openly defamed Falun Gong. He organized materials to defame Falun Gong and put practitioners in the isolation cell. In July 2001, Fang and his friends went to the Weibei Prison's swimming center after lunch. Fan Hanliang dove into the swimming pool and never came out. He died at the age of 30.

Fifty-year-old Xu Fengxiang, former deputy head of the political section, actively participated in supervising and arresting practitioners since July 20, 1999. He and his accomplices ransacked practitioners' homes several times. He died of liver cancer in 2004.
Head of the Women's Ward of Weibei Prison Died of Colon Cancer.
A 50-year-old man, Chen Anlin, was the head of the Women's Ward of Weibei Prison. He actively and directly persecuted several female policewomen who practiced Falun Gong. He vilified Dafa and was involved in "transforming" practitioners. He was detained for bribery in 2000 and died of colon cancer in 2001.
Those who are still involved in persecuting practitioners should wake up to this. Several perpetrators in Weibei Prison have already received karmic retribution.
