(Clearwisdom.net) On July 11, 2005, the 610 Office arrested Zhengzhou practitioner Mr. He Sanpu for the fourth time, after he had become homeless to avoid recapture. He is being detained at the brainwashing center at the Wangqing Mansion on the outskirts of Zhangzhou City.
Mr. He Sanpu, 56, used to work at the Propaganda Department of the CCP Committee of Henan Province. Because he did not want to give up his belief in "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance," Lin Yanzhi, who was then head of the Propaganda Department and is now vice Party Secretary of the CCP Committee of Jilin Province, forced him to stop working for four months. Mr. He was also sent to the brainwashing center. Because Mr. He was strong in his belief in Falun Gong, he was removed from his position at the CCP Committee of Henan Province and sent to the Henan Newspaper Group (Henan Daily). He was told that, "Falun Gong practitioners are not allowed to work at Party or governmental organizations." On July 14, 2000, Mr. He called Li Jianxin, the director of the Politics and Security Department, Jinshui Police Station, Zhengzhou City. He told Li that it is illegal to detain practitioners and that good will be rewarded with good and evil with evil. Twenty minutes after Mr. He hung up the phone, the Politics and Security Department, Jinshui Police Station arrested him at his workplace. The Henan Daily and the police station conspired to block the news of Mr. He's arrest and then searched his home. His family tried various means to locate him before finding out that Mr. He was detained at the No. 1 Detention Center of Zhengzhou (Section 8). Mr. He was sentenced to two years of forced labor camp after being tortured for fifty days. He was then sent to Baimiao Forced Labor Camp where he was persecuted further.
During his time at the forced labor camp, Mr. He was severely tortured. One evening in late January 2002, police officer He Xiaonglong at the No. 3 Brigade of Baimiao Forced Labor Camp forced practitioners to watch a TV program on CCTV called "Focus Interview," which defamed Falun Gong and to write articles about the program afterwards. Mr. He explored the lies of the TV program in his article and signed at the bottom "Practitioner He Sanpu." At about 9 o'clock the next morning, policeman He Xianglong took Mr. He Sanpu to the office of Division 3 and closed the door. With the assistance of another policeman Ma, He Xianglong handcuffed Mr. He, and each of the two policemen then used an electronic baton to shock Mr. He's face, lips, neck, and eyes. They also slapped him on the face and kicked him. The torture lasted for about 30 minutes.
Mr. He went on hunger strike to protest the persecution, but the policemen then shocked him with seven or eight electric batons, leaving his face burnt. They also beat and kicked him and prolonged his detention period for another 3 months. Additionally, the staff of the Henan Newspaper Group cancelled his benefits related to the rank of deputy director and they reduced his salary.
When the detention period ended, Mr. He was not allowed to go home. The Henan Newspaper Group and the city 610 Office arranged for about twenty people to take him to the brainwashing center at the Wangqing Mansion, next to Xiliu Lake on the western outskirts of Zhengzhou City. Mr. He was detained there for five months. On December 30, 2002, he was released. Just two months later, on February 26, 2003, the Jinshuihe Police Station arrested him after he came back from work. After a dozen days of being completely unaware of Mr. He's situation, his family finally found out that he was detained at the Heizhuang Detention Center of Jinshui District. Mr. He had been arrested because the supervising police station had divided the number of practitioners among the lower level police branches during the two national conferences held at that time, so that every police station or branch had an obligation to arrest a certain number of practitioners.
Mr. He's third arrest occurred on December 1, 2003. When he was at work, his workplace staff and city 610 Office arrested Mr. He and sent him to the Xiliu Lake Brainwashing Center of Zhengzhou. Because Mr. Hu's workplace and the 610 Office placed such great pressure on him and frequently assaulted him, and because of the danger of his being sent to the brainwashing center at any time, once Mr. He was released, he had little choice but to leave home. After he left home, the police wanted him for no reason. They cancelled his ID, so that he was not able to go home at all. On July 11, 2005, Mr. He was arrested for the fourth time while he was taking a bus with his wife, Ms. Zhang Hanwen (also a practitioner). Ms. Zhang was able to run away from the police with righteous thoughts, but nobody has heard from her since then, because she cannot come home. Mr. He was sent to the brainwashing center again.
