(Clearwisdom.net) At present it is an urgent issue to clarify the truth to students in elementary and high schools in China. Out of this consideration, I started offering after-school classes in 2003. The students ranged from first to fifth graders with a few from junior high school.
Initially there were 30 children. Insults and fighting were very common among them. In order to rectify their behavior, I read them "New Children's Stories," stories from "PureInsight.org" and some truth clarifying materials during lunchtime. I asked them to be good, following the principles of "Truth, Compassion and Forbearance." The effect was good. After a while, the behavior of insulting and fighting decreased significantly. Now they do not fight any more.
We also play the Dafa music "Pudu" and "Jishi" for them. Initially, some children were noisy. We then sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil beings interfering with them. Gradually, children started accepting it and got used to listening to Dafa music every day.
While trying our best to provide high-quality service, parents feel that this class is truly different from classes of everyday people. We then take this opportunity to clarify the truth to the students and their parents. When we asked the children to say, "Truth, Compassion and Forbearance are good," their parents had no reason to oppose it. When we clarify the truth to the parents, some can accept it and others cannot. We do not force the issue. Over time when parents eventually accept it, they say positive things about our classes. As a result, more and more parents send their children here. Sometimes the classroom is full in the evenings.
We sometimes teach children to recite the poems from Hong Yin. They are all willing to do so. In the supplementary language class, we teach meaningful stories and fables educating children to cherish virtue and learn the principles of being a good person.
