Practitioner Mr. Guo Shaowei is currently staging a hunger strike. He has been tortured to the point of being in critical condition at the Jinzhou City Forced Labor Camp and sent to the Jinzhou City Employee Hospital.

Practitioner Ms. Huang Yanling from Yusheng Village, Xiqin Township, Shuangcheng City, is currently being held at the Harbin City Women's Prison. Because she refused to give up practicing Falun Gong, she was injected certain medicine that treats mental illness. She went on a hunger strike to protest but was force-fed. Her mouth was injured as a result.

Police incited a criminal named Wang Xinhua to beat her. She still has bruises on her abdomen and feet.

Already extremely weak, she went on a hunger strike on February 8, 2006. Her son arrived to see her on February 14, but the police lied, saying, "Your mom does not want to see you." Her son went to visit her again on April 28. It took him a lot of effort to eventually meet with his mom.

Practitioner Dr. Cong Aidong from Yingkou City is 56 years old. The police arrested her in 2002 because she practices Falun Gong. They sentenced her to two years of forced labor without going through any legal procedure. She was physically tortured and mentally tormented at the Shenyang City's Masanjia Forced Labor Camp.

After she was released, police officers and some people from the community office still often harassed her. Her family could not lead a normal life. She chose to live in exile. A taxi driver reported her to police after Dr. Cong clarified the truth about Falun Gong to him in February 2005. She was eventually sentenced to three years of forced labor.

Her husband suffered much from his wife's repeated arrests and was mentally traumatized by it. His high blood pressure recurred several times. Their daughter has to be the family's breadwinner and also takes care of the father and her grandmother. She went to visit her mom, but was barred from seeing her. According to some people who saw her, Dr. Cong's hair had turned white. She was extremely weak and otherwise in poor health. She suffers from arthritis, lower back pain and has difficulty walking.

Practitioner Mr. Wu Yunpeng, held at the No.3 Brigade of the Hulan Prison, was put into a small compartment for persecution.

Personnel from the National Security Team at the Dehui City's Police Department arrested practitioner Mr. Qu Guangyi on August 23, 2006, based on a fabricated charge. They beat him and then took him to the 610 Office to torture him. Mr. Qu still refused to give up Falun Gong. National Security Team authorities eventually sentenced him to two years of forced labor and sent him to the Yinmahe Forced Labor Camp at Jiutai City, Jilin Province. Mr. Qu Guangyi was held in the "Tight Administration Team." Torture caused immobility in one of his legs.

Practitioner Mr. Ji Baohai, 28 years old, is a laid-off employee from a paper mill in the Fangzheng Forestry Administration Bureau, Heilongjiang Province. He started to practice Falun Gong in 1996. Since July 20, 1999, officers Han Dongyi, Shi Yuping and others from the National Security Section of the local police department harassed, beat and fined him many times. He opted to live in exile in May 2004.

He was arrested in Harbin City in August 2006 and has been transferred back. He is now, this September 2006, in the detention center of the Fangzheng Forestry Bureau's police department.

Personnel from the Shuncheng Community Office, Fushun City often harassed practitioner Ms. Zhang Yanping in late August at her home, saying they are "providing social welfare." They threatened her family members and asked them to find Ms. Zhang Yanping.

Nearly ten officers from the Xinghai Police Station, the Shahekou Police Station and the Internet Police in Dalian City went to the Sanhuan Real Estate Developing Company. They took away the company's intranet administrator at 1:00 p.m. on May 24, 2006. Then they headed directly to practitioner Ms. Tang Xiuzhong's office and forcibly confiscated her work computer at 3:00 p.m. Two individuals came to the company and arrested Ms. Tang at 3:00 p.m. the next day. Her whereabouts are unknown.

The police followed practitioner Ms. Gao Shenhua from Dalian City when she was clarifying the truth around the 27 Trade Center on June 12, 2006; they put her into the Haishi Police Station. The police authorities intended to send her to a detention center but failed, because the admission exam revealed she had high blood pressure. The police had to release her, but returned to her home afterwards and ransacked the place. They confiscated all Dafa books and some truth-clarifying materials.

One week ago personnel from the Zhongshan Police Station arrested practitioner Ms. Yin Zhiming, in his 50s. Currently she is being held at the Yaojia Detention Center.

Practitioner Mr. Guo Wei lives in the dorm of the Worker Daily in the Dongcheng District in Beijing. He was illegally arrested for the third time on the night of September 15, 2006. His house was searched, but it was said that only one truth-clarifying disc was found. Mr. Guo's family received his call from the Dongcheng District Detention Center. Guo Wei said he was arrested. After that his family lost contact with him.

Prior to this incident, Guo Wei had been sentenced to five years of imprisonment for clarifying the truth. In the beginning of 2006 he was arrested again for clarifying the truth but escaped one month later with the power of righteous thoughts. His wife Ms. Zhou Jing is also suffering from persecution at a forced labor camp. Their 6-year-old son has to live with his grandma.

Mr. Ma Xiangqian is an employee of the Bolinzhuang Professional High School in Laiyang City. He was arrested at his school at September 4, 2006 and sent to the Laiyang Party School Brainwashing Class for persecution. Nobody is allowed to see him.

Ms. Guan Yulan, almost 60 years old, is a retired teacher from a school affiliated with the No. 3 National Cotton Factory in Shijiazhuang City. When she was clarifying the truth to some people in the street and handing them amulets on September 13, 2006 she was arrested. She is presently being held at the Yucai Street Police Precinct in Shijiazhuang City.

Practitioners Mr. Li He and Mr. Li Gang were arrested when transporting copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party at 9:00 p.m. on September 13, 2006. Five days have passed, but there is no information about their situation.

Police arrested practitioner Sun from Sunjiahui Village, Pingdu City and searched his/her house. They put him/her into the Pingdu City's Detention Center.

When practitioner Mr. L?Zaiguo was distributing truth-clarifying materials around the Nanshi District at 8:00 p.m. on September 13, 2006, district policemen arrested him. He was sent to the Heping Police Department at 2:00 p.m. on September 14.

Five officials including Zhu Jianguo from the Muping District National Security Division broke into the home of Dafa practitioner Mr. Yu Yingfu at 8:03 a.m. on August 29, 2006. They turned the whole place upside-down and arrested Yu Yingfu. Where Mr. Yu has been detained is unknown.

Officials from Puyang City's "610 Office" in Henan Province broke into the homes of Dafa practitioners Ms. Hu Jinping, Ms. Ding Jiai, and Ms. Yan Yuemei at 10:00 p.m. on September 13, 2006. They ransacked the practitioners' homes and arrested the practitioners. Hu Jinping and Ding Jiai broke free the next day with the power of righteous thoughts, but Yan Yuemei is still held at the Puyang City Detention Center.

Prior to July 28, 2006, Dafa practitioner Gao Yuqiu's husband Wang Decun sent her to Tangshan City Mental Hospital. A Communist Party ringleader was coming to Tangshan City. The officials said that Gao Yuqiu would be released after July 28, but Ms. Gao Yuqiu is still being held at Tangshan City Mental Hospital to this day. The officials there are torturing her in an attempt to make her give up her belief in Dafa.

Officials from the Xin District Thermal Plant in Tangshan City, Hebei Province have vehemently persecuted Dafa practitioners since July 20, 1999. Some practitioners were sent to labor camps; some to brainwashing classes; others had part of their salaries withheld; some were fired, and yet others were forced to write guarantee statements. The factory officials organized a "report" meeting, to slander Dafa and poison the minds of innocent people. They are still distributing flyers that defame Falun Dafa among factory employees.

Central District "610 Office" agent Di Hao from Zaozhuang City and officers from the Wenhua Road Police Precinct arrested Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhu Baohua on September 12, 2006. They ransacked her home and took lots of Dafa materials and books. She is now being held at the Yuelou Detention Center in Zaozhuang City.

Zhu Baohua is a retired employee from Zaozhuang City who had been persecuted over several years for persisting in her belief in Dafa. She went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa. Officers from the Zaozhuang City Police Department in Shandong Province took her back to Zaozhuang City. She was detained for over a month and later released. Her home was ransacked again after she had distributed truth clarification materials. She was sent to the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp in Zibo. The labor camp refused to accept her because she didn't pass the physical exam. She was later held at the Yuelou Detention Center in Zaozhuang City. Ms. Zhu was released on parole through her family's efforts.

Dafa practitioners Ms. Feng Jianzhen and Ms. Feng Jianying from Liquan County, Xianyang, Shaanxi Province went to Qian County in the Xianyang area on August 29, 2006 and stayed there until August 30 to distribute truth clarification materials. A veteran soldier reported them, which led to their arrest and secret incarceration at the county detention center. Their families were not notified and learned about the detention only after many inquiries.

Han Xiaojian, an official from the Security Division led several agents from the Yibin City National Security Division in Sichuan Province. They went to the home of Dafa practitioner Ms. Tan Xinglan on September 15, 2006 and took her away.

Dafa practitioner Ms. Chen Shichang is in her 40s. She had worked at the Linzhi Institute of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry in Tibet and had moved to a neighborhood in Cuqiao, Chengdu City after retirement. A colleague denounced her for mailing out truth clarification materials. Her former workplace superiors and police officers from Linzhi, Tibet went to Chengdu City and ransacked her home. They took Ms. Chen back to Linzhi, Tibet and sentenced her to three years of forced labor.

Dafa practitioner Mr. Li Zhenghai, 65 years old, lived at Group 5, Dapolao Village, Lushi Town, Huaying City. He was arrested and his home was ransacked many times by "610 Office" agents and local police officers for persisting in his belief. For a period lasting longer than three years, officials had sent him to custody center(s), detention center(s) and brainwashing classes.

Li Zhenghai was arrested again on August 28, 2006 and was held at the Guangan Detention Center. Center officials called his family the evening of September 13 and told them that Li Zhenghai had been sentenced to forced labor and also told his family to "bring things" for him.

Dafa practitioner Ms. Liu Yan from Honghezhou, Yunnan Province was arrested in Jianshui County the morning of September 14, 2006 when clarifying the truth. Honghezhou "610 Office" agents and officers from the National Security Division ransacked Liu Yan's home and took most of her Dafa books and computer(s).

The following Dafa practitioners are being held at Yunnan Women's Labor Camp:

Dafa practitioner Ms. Mei Bilin is a senior English lecturer at the Yunnan Forestry Vocational Technical Institute. She was arrested on September 21, 2004.

Dafa practitioner Ms. Gao Qiongxian, 58 years old, was sent to the Yunnan Province Women's Labor Camp in September 2004.

Dafa practitioner Ms. Gu Xiufen is in her 40s and lives in the Gears Factory -affiliated residential compound in Kunming City. She was arrested in January 2005 and sentenced to three years of forced labor.

Dafa practitioner Ms. Feng Lihua is around 40 years of age and works at the Kunming City Gears Factory. She also lives the factory-affiliated residential compound. She was sentenced to three years of forced labor when distributing truth clarification materials in 2004.

Dafa practitioner Ms. Tai Yan, 38 years old, used to work at the Mengla County Bureau of Industry and Commerce. Officers from the Mengla County Police Department sent her and 38-year-old practitioner Ms. Jiang Hongling to the camp on April 4, 2006.

Dafa practitioner Ms. Gao Qiongxian, 58 years old, was sent to the camp in September 2004.

The following chronicles a persecution death that happened in 2005

Dafa practitioner Ms. Yang Suhong, 23 years old, was a disabled person only 1.2 m [3.9 ft] tall and had weighed 23 kg [51 lbs]. She had lived in the Jishan Neighborhood District in the jurisdiction of the Majie Party Office in the Xishan District, Kunming City. Officials from the Xishan District National Security Division in Kunming City tricked her to leave her home on November 30, 2004. They took her to the Dabanqiao Province Women's Labor Camp in Kunming City. She died as a result of persecution in 2005.

Dafa practitioner Mr. Wu Shufa, 50 years old, had worked at the Yingtan City Planning Bureau, Jiangxi Province. He began practicing Dafa in1996 and was sentenced to two years of forced labor in January 2000. He broke free after his sentence was extended by six months. After being home for 15 days, persecutors took him to a labor camp where he was tortured for six months. His employers, meanwhile, fired him. Officials from the National Security Division at the Yuehu Police Department arrested him at his private business at 9:00 a.m. on September 9, 2006. These officials later ransacked his home. Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Wu Shufa was sent to the Emergency Room at the Yingtan City People's Hospital at 9:30 a.m. on September 13, 2006. When his family members arrived they saw that his hands and feet were stiff. He is in critical condition.

A Dafa practitioner couple from the Maiji District, Tianshui City had gone to the Deyuanri Supermarket owned by Dafa practitioner Ms. Dong Peilan at noon on September 14, 2006. Eight plainclothes police officers suddenly barged inside the store from the front and back doors and quickly handcuffed the couple. They ransacked the store and also handcuffed Dong Peilan and took away all three Dafa practitioners.

Dong Peilan had previously been arrested. Officials from the Qinzhou District National Security Division in Tianshui City participated in that arrest on June 1, 2006. She was arrested again without her family's knowledge, less than three months after her release. Her two children are left home alone.

More than 20 Dafa practitioners were arrested on September 1, 2006 at a tea caf?in Tongxian Town. All of them were released later that day.

Dafa practitioner Mr. Li Zongrun from Group 7, Renhe Village, Renhe Township was arrested on September 3, and Dafa practitioner Mr. Xie Yuanli and Mr. Dong Danian from Tianma Township were arrested on September 4. Mr. Zongrun's wife, Dafa practitioner Ms. Jiang Subing, was arrested on September 11 and is being held at the Anyue County Custody Center. The first three practitioners are also being held at the Anyue County Detention Center.
