(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Song Jiwei is from Donggang City. He was arrested by the police after July 20, 1999, and sent to a forced labor camp. Under the Jiang Zemin regime's persecution, his family was torn apart, and he became destitute and homeless in order to avoid being arrested at home. Mr. Song's wife, Ms. Wang Chun, was sentenced to forced labor. She is suffering from the brutal persecution in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. Mr. Song's house leaks when it rains, and he can only ask his 85-year-old father to look after his house now and then.
Mr. Song Jiwei, 50 years old, is from Dagushan Town, Donggang City, Liaoning Province. He started to practice Falun Gong in the fall of 1996. Before that he had been hospitalized every year. After he started to practice Falun Gong, his diseases all disappeared. He worked more diligently and took personal interests lightly.
Since July 20, 1999, the CCP has unreasonably persecuted Falun Gong. In order to support Falun Gong, he went to Beijing to clarify the truth to the National Inquiry Department on July 20, 1999. There he was arrested by the local police, detained for 15 days, and fined 700 yuan. The police also took away more than 6,000 yuan cash from him.
In September 1999, he was arrested from his place of employment and taken to the Gushan Police Department by officers from the Gushan Police Department and Gushan Town government. The police detained him and another 20 practitioners in the Donggang City Detention Center for more than 40 days and fined them 500 yuan each.
In March 2000, he went to the local government, the Politics and Law Committee, and the chief of the Political and Protection Section, Wang Shengyi, to ask for the 6,000 yuan back. After an extensive process, his money was finally returned. But Wang Shengyi said, "Song Jiwei, I will seek revenge. I am the person in charge of (persecuting) Falun Gong." After a few days, Mr. Song was taken to the Gushan Police Department by police officers Xiao Xuehuan, Zhou Jianwei, and others. The police sent him to the Donggang City Detention Center. Police officer Gao said, "I hate Falun Gong the most," and then beat him. Song Jiwei was sent to jail under officer Gao's direction. The criminals in the jail brutally beat Mr. Song, causing his face to become distorted and his mouth to fill with blood. The criminals removed his clothing and poured cold water over his body. They also forced him to squat for long periods of time. All these tortures were arranged by Wang Shengyi. Zhang Xuede, the Party secretary in Song Jiwei's company, and Deputy Party Secretary Ning in Gushan Town government also participated in Mr. Song's persecution. Mr. Song was released after more than 30 days of continuous ill treatment.
In June 2000, Song Jiwei was arrested again by the police after he sent a Falun Gong article to another practitioner. He was sentenced to two years of forced labor. He was sent to Dandong Forced Labor Camp and brutally tortured mentally and physically. The police used all kinds of tortures including "sitting on a board" [the victim's legs are stretched straight on a board, movement is not allowed, and should he move, he is beaten. As a result, the victim is unable to walk immediately following this torture.], "sitting on the triangle iron board" [the victim must sit on a triangular iron board at the edge of a bed, stretch his legs and clamp a piece of paper between his feet. When the paper falls, the police beat him and use a cigarette lighter to burn his toes], and an electric baton to persecute him. They also forced him to put his hands on his knees and keep his body straight from 6:30 a.m to 9 p.m. every day.
In August 2001, Mr. Song was taken to a brainwashing center hosted by the local 610 Office and subjected to brainwashing for a month.
In November 2001, he went to Beijing again to clarify the truth about Falun Gong and appeal to stop the persecution of Falun Gong. He shouted "Falun Dafa is good" in Tiananmen Square and was arrested by the police again. His wife was also taken to the brainwashing center and illegally detained for more than four months. Mr. Song was sentenced to three years of forced labor.
The police in Dandong Forced Labor Camp used all kinds of brutal torture to persecute practitioners. They forced the practitioners to do intensive labor, used electric batons to beat them, restrained their personal freedom, forced them to sit on the board, broadcast TV programs that slandered Falun Gong, and tortured them physicall and mentally.
In September 2003, Dandong Forced Labor Camp transferred more than 20 practitioners to the Benxi City Weiting Forced Labor Camp to brainwash them. The police relentlessly tried to instill the practitioners with the Party's wicked theories and deviant ideas. They also brutally tortured them. They double crossed and tied the practitioners' legs and tied them into a ball. Then a guard sat on top of the practitioners. Several guards gathered around the practitioners and beat and verbally abused them. They also double crossed and tied the practitioners' legs and then inserted a 3 to 5 cm thick and 5 to 10 cm wide plank between their legs. Then a guard wore high-heeled shoes and stood on top of the practitioners' legs. They also used the "stretching bed," electric batons or iron cage to torture the practitioners.
In November 2004, Song Jiwei was released and went home. The local authorities and the police continuously harassed, threatened, and monitored him and his family. On the evening of August 23, 2005, his wife and son were arrested by more than 10 police officers from the Donggang City National Security Team led by Wang Yunlong. They brutally beat his wife and son.. They took away the Dafa books, computer, motorcycle, and so on without any legal procedures.
Mr. Song's wife Wang Chun was sent to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. His son was released after being detained in the detention center for half a month. Mr.. Song Jiwei has become destitute and homeless due to the persecution.
