(Clearwisdom.net) Practitioners in Salzburg, Austria held an art exhibition on November 10-12, 2006. Nearly 30,000 people attended, including both locals and also visitors from Europe.
By providing a commentary, the exhibition organizers helped viewers understand the persecution in China more deeply
Regardless of where the viewers were from, they were all attracted by our exhibition. Looking at these artists' works and listening to the traditional Chinese music, many people stood there for long time and came to Falun Gong practitioners to ask for background information.
A middle-aged gentleman was curious about the painting of a girl who was holding a lotus with both her hands and meditating quietly. When he was told that the lotus represents those Falun Gong practitioners in mainland China who remain peaceful, sedate and noble even though they are being persecuted, his eyes filled with tears.
A mother and daughter came to the exhibition asking for Chinese Falun Gong material, as they wanted to give it to their Chinese friends. They were shocked by this persecution. They thought that the human rights situation in China had improved just as the economic boom had grown. However, they could never have thought that such a cruel persecution was still happening.
One lady was attracted by a painting which illustrated a peaceful appeal outside a Chinese Embassy. She said that the meditating practitioners were a sharp contrast to the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) Embassy. She could feel practitioners' compassion and peacefulness.
A gallery owner from Germany invited practitioners to hold this "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" International Art Exhibition in his gallery.
After visiting this art exhibition, many people were very indignant about the
persecution of Falun Gong practitioners by the CCP. Quite a number of people
asked for informational materials about Falun Gong and inquired about the
exercise class.
This "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" International Art
Exhibition will be held in other states in Austria.
