(Clearwisdom.net) CCP leader Hu Jintao was officially welcomed to the United States on the south lawn of the White House by US President Bush on the morning of April 20, 2006. Just as Hu was beginning to speak, a Chinese American woman unfurled a yellow banner with red characters on them and shouted in both Chinese and English, "Falun Dafa is good!" "Stop persecuting Falun Gong!" and instantly captured the attention of major world media.
The protester, Wenyi Wang, is a Falun Gong practitioner. She is also a medical doctor, trained in both China and the US. When numerous cameras focused on her, maybe people didn't realize that the true focal point is not the White House but on the other side of earth - China.
I think that as a doctor, Wang Wenyi understands more than anyone else the horrifying truth behind the evidence from China that she was constantly exposed to. This, I feel, is the essential reason that motivated her unusual act.
On March 8, the first witness, a journalist named Peter revealed the CCP-run secret Sujiatun Concentration Camp, where many Falun Gong practitioners' organs were removed while they were still alive, and their bodies were cremated to destroy evidence; subsequently, another witness Annie said her ex-husband was the head surgeon who removed corneas from live Falun Gong practitioners; the third witness, a veteran military doctor not only confirmed the existence of these concentration camps for live organs, he also pointed out that there are as many as 36 such concentration camps throughout China.
Independent investigations by the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG), Sound of Hope (Radio) and other organizations and media reveal that many hospitals collude with labor camps and prisons where Falun Gong practitioners are detained and they make tremendous profit by harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners and use them for transplant surgeries. We can clearly hear from the audio recordings published by WOIPFG and Sound of Hope, doctors frankly admitting that their organs come from live organ suppliers, and sometimes they even blatantly admit many of their organs come from Falun Gong practitioners. Below is an excerpt of audio recording made during an investigation of Zhongshan Hospital affiliated with Fudan University in Shanghai:
Caller: You are not going to give me a kidney from a cadaver, are you?
Doctor: Of course it's good! How can we give you bad ones?
Caller: Do you have the ones provided from Falun Gong people?
Doctor: All that we have here are of this kind.
I think that as a doctor, Wang Wenyi clearly knows the practical implication of claims of "ample organ supply" coming from China. Websites of major hospitals such as Shenyang Multi-Organ Transplant Center, Changhai Hospital Affiliated With No. 2 Military Medical University in Shanghai, the Military Organ Transplant Research Institute of Changzheng Hospital in Shanghai guaranteed finding organs for transplant within one week to one month. Wang Wenyi, who as a medical student vowed to do her best to save lives, must feel pained that her counterparts under the CCP are murdering their fellow Chinese to make money.
The CCP denied the existence of concentration camps where live organ harvests take place, and it hastily tossed out an administrative regulation that restricts organ transplants. Yet this regulation will not take effect until July 1. Investigations by WOIPFG and Sound of Hope found out that transplant centers in Hubei Province, Shanghai, Liaoning Province, Beijing, Shanxi and other places in China are suddenly working overtime to perform large batches of organ transplants. Many doctors said that a large batch of suppliers will be available before May 1, after which the number of opportunities will decrease.
The situation is urgent. The Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (CIPFG) issued an urgent notice, that according to evidence, people held at Sujiatun and other concentration camps have been secretly transferred and face possible slaughter at any time. At the same time, hospitals and transplant centers in Mainland China are rushing to perform a large number of organ transplants in order to destroy physical evidence--the victims held at the concentration camps.
After the CCP invited the international community to conduct investigations at Sujiatun, the investigators of the CIPFG were repeatedly denied their visa to enter China.
Mounting evidence shows that if the international community doesn't immediately pay great attention to this matter, maybe our consciences and our futures will never forgive us - they will not forgive us because we missed the opportunity to save lives at this critical time, and we didn't stop this brutal crime that challenges the entire human civilization.
All of this is the larger background behind Dr. Wang's shouts in front of the White House. This should be the true focal point for world media focus.
When this page of history is turned, not many people will remember the day when Yale University was granted entrance into the Chinese stock market, and similarly, not many will recall how much Boeing's sales increased in 2006. However, people will look to see if the civilized world betrayed the solemn vow they made after the great massacre of the last century during World War II, "Never Again!"
Ernest Hemingway quoted John Donne, a 17th century English poet in his book For Whom the Bell Tolls. This poem is even more thought provoking today after the recent events:
"...No man is an island, entire of itself;
every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main.
If a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less,
as well as if a promontory were, as well as if a manor of thy friend's or of thine own were.
Any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind;
and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee..."
I think the bell we face today rings from the depth of our souls, and it beckons each person's conscience.
