(Clearwisdom.net) A Greek practitioner was invited to participate in the 4th European Social Forum, which took place May 4-7 in Athens. The forum was expecting participation from more than 500 organizations from all over the world and more than 30,000 attendees. Practitioners thought this would be an excellent opportunity to let the public know about Falun Dafa and the persecution.
Due to the nature of the event, there were many people interested in left-wing politics. Practitioners told them how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is responsible for the deaths of over 80 million people in its fifty years of power and is now using all its instruments of persecution and propaganda in an attempt to stop Chinese people from practicing Falun Gong. Many of them accepted the flyers, sympathized with the persecution suffered by the Chinese people and signed a petition calling for an end to the CCP's atrocities.
Many people didn't even know what Falun Gong was and they hadn't heard anything about the persecution in China. They were shocked to hear about the removal of organs from living Falun Gong practitioners and the bodies being cremated to destroy the evidence. The Chinese Communist Party makes enormous profits from this illegal and immoral trade.
People went to the Falun Gong stand or chatted with practitioners to find out more |
Many people were very grateful after they heard about Falun Gong, and the practitioners could feel that it came from the bottom of their hearts. "It's good that you inform them about the situation in China," one man said.
On Saturday night there were some concerts for those who attended the forum. The practitioners took this chance to let more people know about the persecution. No matter how late it was, people were still pleased to find out more.
