People sign the postcards calling for an end to the persecution |
Falun Gong practitioners have spread this information widely to the public and collected signatures to support an end to the persecution in China. They called on the Canadian Parliament to pass a resolution to condemn the CCP regimes brutal violation of human rights and asked them to urge the Chinese government to stop the persecution of Falun Gong and immediately release all practitioners. They also called on the Canadian government to take active measures to help stop the CCPs large-scale killing of Falun Gong practitioners and harvesting their organs for profit. They called on the Canadian government to advise Canadians not go to China for organ transplants.

Signing in support of Falun Gong |
July 15 was a religious festival that the Indian community celebrated at Toronto Centre Island. Many people were waiting for the ferry to get to the island. Falun Gong practitioners held poster boards worded, "Please sign to call for an end of the persecution of Falun Gong," distributed truth-clarification materials and collected signatures.
Ms. Zhou, an elderly practitioner who doesn't speak much English, said to this reporter, "Today many people who learned about the situation in China came forward to sign. They said much to me. I could only reply with, Thank you! A couple presented me with a bundle of flowers. A gentleman gave me a soft drink. Peoples understanding and support are very moving."
A western man said to a practitioner after signing, "Can you give me some postcards addressed to the Prime Minister so I can go there to ask those people in line to sign? This persecution must be stopped by everyone." After practitioners agreed, he took some postcards to collect signatures in the crowds. He came back after getting all those postcards signed and said, "Please give me more, I will ask my family members and friends to sign. I will definitely send these out soon."
A mother and daughter helping to distribute truth-clarification materials |
A mother and her daughter who came to attend the celebration activity signed after reading the flyer. Her fifteen-year-old daughter helped to distribute the flyers with the practitioners, after her mother agreed. She spoke out to the passers-by, "Everyone, please read the shocking news, sign the petition, stop the brutal atrocities." Hearing upon her shout, many people accepted her flyers and signed the petition.
The correspondent was moved by the young girls righteous action and asked her why she did that. She said, "I was shocked when I heard the news. What I thought first was, How can I help them? What I can do now is to help to distribute the flyers and have more people join in to stop the persecution."
Two religious scholars signed the postcards after learning about the efforts to stop the persecution. In the message column to the Prime Minister, they wrote, "Please stop this persecution!"
When practitioners collected signatures from the people waiting for the ferry, many signed and said, "I have seen the news and know about the matter."
People wrote their voice on the postcards: "Stop harvesting Falun Gong practitioners organs," "Stop killing," "Please safeguard humanity," "Ask the Chinese government to stop all these atrocities," "We cannot support crimes but must support all actions stopping the crimes," "Discard communism," "These killings are crimes against humanity," "Give life an opportunity," "Stop the violation of human rights," etc.
