I would like to remark on the July 7 article, China Harvesting Organs:
Report; Hearts, Kidneys And More Taken From Members Of Outlawed Movement.
In this article, both David Kilgour, a former Liberal cabinet minister, and David Matas, a Winnipeg human rights lawyer, comment on their two-month, independent investigation of reports that the Communist Chinese government has been seizing organs from unwilling Falun Gong prisoners who are detained in their jails for practicing their spiritual belief, a peaceful practice involving certain exercises and character improvement.
Their conclusions are that this infamous practice indeed is going on in China, and that as early as April of this year, human organs such as corneas, kidneys, livers, and hearts were listed for sale with accompanying prices.
They found 41,500 unexplained transplants. Surely it is time for the countries of the world to stop ignoring these reports and take action.
Do we put business ahead of our moral standards? Is this the kind of world we want to create?
