(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioners from Gothenburg and nearby places protested outside the Chinese Consulate General on the 20th of July. Local Falun Gong practitioners meet outside the Chinese Consulate in the morning on weekdays to appeal for an immediate stop of the cruel persecution that is still going on against Falun Gong practitioners in China.
Seven years ago, on July 20 1999, this persecution was officially initiated by the Chinese regime. During the Sweden protest, Falun Gong practitioners distributed a special flyer that revealed the background of the persecution.
The flier also informed people about a horrible discovery that has recently come to light: organs are taken from live Falun Gong practitioners. It was in March this year that a Chinese journalist exposed a concentration camp in Liaoning Province. The journalist said that "Falun Gong practitioners are killed for their organs, which are later sent to medical institutions. It is publicly known that China for a long time has been harvesting organs from executed prisoners. The flier also informed about an independent 45 page report about organ harvesting form living Falun Gong practitioners. It was published in the beginning of July by two Canadians, David Kilgour, a former member of parliament and secretary of state and David Matas, a human rights lawyer. Both of them draw "the unfortunate conclusion that the allegations are true".
During the protest, many people accepted fliers and saw our banners that called for an immediate stop of the persecution. With this protest, we also wanted to say from our hearts to staff working at the consulate: "all people have to listen to their own consciences. This enormous cruel persecution must immediately stop. The responsible people must be brought to justice. The organ harvesting that is happening where Falun Gong practitioners are killed for their organs can't be tolerated by any human being with some conscience left."
