Dafa practitioners illegally held at Ward 20 at the No. 2 Prison in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province went on a group hunger strike. The prison authorities sent the practitioners to different production workshops to persecute them separately.

Dafa practitioner Mr. Yang Xuegui from Lanzhou City, who was sentenced to prison against the law, was taken from a labor reeducation hospital. Doing this were officials from the Lanzhou Prison on July 5, 2006. He has been held in solitary confinement up until now.

Dafa practitioner Mr. Li Dejun from Dachang County, Langfang City, Hebei Province was sentenced to nine years in prison. His wife Liu Shuying was sentenced to 12 years in prison. Their two young children and Li Dejun's mother in her 80's are left home alone.

Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Aiying from Yuanzhuang Village, Zhuolu County, Hebei Province went to Beijing on July 27, 2006 to validate Dafa. Beijing police arrested her. Her home was ransacked on July 28. Police who took her Dafa books also extorted 10,000 Yuan from her family.

Officials from the National Security Division in the Yanzhou City Police Department arrested Dafa practitioner Ms. Wei Maoxia on July 21, 2006 when she was distributing truth clarification materials. She is currently being held at the Yanzhou Detention Center.

The following Dafa practitioners from Shantou City were arrested by Shantou City "610 Office" agents in May 2006 and were sent to a brainwashing Center:

Ms. Chen Shaoyan, about 42 years old; worked at a company affiliated with the Shantou City Building Products Company;

Mr. Lin Zhihui, about 70 years old; was an official at the Shantou City Agriculture Bank;

Mr. Fang Yongbin, about 44 years of age, worked at the Shantou branch for the Guangdong Province Advertisement Company

Dafa practitioner Ms. Guan Guijie was arrested at around 9 p.m. on July 30, 2006. The arresting officers were from the Daxue Township Police Department in Jinzhou City. It happened when she was distributing truth clarification materials in Ertun. The police was waiting in the area to arrest Falun Gong practitioners.

Officers from the Huantai County Police Department in Shandong Province arrested the practitioner couple Mr. Zhang Aiquan and Ms. Wang Mingyun in the afternoon of May 13, 2006. The police arrested Dafa practitioner Mr. Yu Desheng, who works at Shengli Oilfield Material Company on May 20. On July 28, 2006, the Huantai Court in Shandong Province sentenced Zhang Aiquan and the other Dafa practitioners to prison. It was learned that Zhang Aiquan was sentenced to eight years in prison, Wang Mingyun was sentenced to seven and a half years in prison, and Yu Desheng was sentenced to seven and a half years in prison.

The officials at Division 8 at the Liaoning Province Women's Prison brutally torture Dafa practitioners. Division head Jiao Lingling ordered the inmates to handcuff Dafa practitioners Ms. Liu Jinlu and Ms. Zhang Lina behind their backs and forced them to stand for more than ten hours a day. They gave the practitioners only a small piece of bread at each meal. Late at night, the officials ordered the inmates to savagely beat the practitioners until they lost consciousness. They then dragged the practitioners into the water room, shut the door and windows and poured cold water on the practitioners.

Dafa practitioners Ms. Lu Jianhua, Ms. Du Xiuyun and Ms. Ma Shuyan were also tortured. Ma Shuyan suffered a near nervous breakdown from long-term torture.

Officers from the Hulin City "610 Office" and from the police department in Heilongjiang Province broke into the home of Dafa practitioner Mr. Mao Dexing in the morning of July 28, 2006. They ransacked his home, seized truth clarification materials and arrested Mao Dexing.

The police broke into Dafa practitioner Mr. Ye Zhenghui's decoration store in the morning of July 29. They pried a drawer open, took away Dafa books and took Ye Zhenghui to the police department.

Dafa practitioner Mr. Jiang Shuncai from Luannan County, Hebei Province is 40 years old and works at the Bagang Hospital. He was arrested on July 27, 2006. Dafa practitioners Ms. Xu Lifeng and Ms. He Jianlian were arrested on July 20 when they posted Dafa materials in Sige Township.

Dafa practitioner Ms. Lin Xiaoyan, 40 years old, was caught on a surveillance camera videotape at her workplace in mid-July 2006 when she was distributing truth clarification materials there. A co-worker reported her on July 21. She was later sent to the Zhanjiang City Legal School, a brainwashing center. Officials from the "610 Office" and the police department were responsible for this.

Dafa practitioners Ms. Zhang Ping, around 40 years of age, and 45-year-old Mr. Luo Xiufeng from Lanzhou City were arrested. They held a hunger strike to protest the detention and were brutally force-fed. The Xigu District Court in Lanzhou City tried Zhang Ping and Luo Xiufeng at 10:30 a.m. on July 11, 2006.

Undercover agents have watched and are still watching Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Hui in Shijiazhuang City since October 2003. They have been spotted following Ms. Li in a car when she goes out.

Dafa practitioners Mr. Dong Gongyou and his wife, living near the Yangluduan Hospital in Laocheng, Kai County, Chongqing were arrested in the evening of July 23, 2006. Another practitioner, Mr. Peng Jiechi, was arrested in the morning of July 24.

Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Guiying from Luyuan District, Changchun City was arrested for the second time on June 9, 2006. Officers from the Xian Square Police Department in the Luyuan District were involved. She is currently being held at the Heizuizi Prison.

Dafa practitioner Ms. Qi Wufen from Nanzhudao was reported on July 31, 2006 when posting truth clarification materials in the Huangguan Neighborhood District. Officers from the Huangguan Neighborhood District Police Department arrested her and ransacked her home.

Dafa practitioners Mr. Yan Mao and Mr. Cheng Ming from Kongjiang Township, Wanquan County, Hebei Province were arrested and taken to the Kongjia Township Police Department in the evening of July 20, 2006. The police beat, kicked, and tortured the practitioners in an attempt to extort non-existent "evidence."

Dafa practitioner Ms. Zheng Guiqin and her teenage son from Kongjia Township were followed and arrested by officers from the Kongjia Township Police Department when they were spray-painting phrases to clarify the truth about Dafa. The police ransacked Zheng Guiqin's home and extorted 5,000 Yuan from Zheng Guiqin's husband before reluctantly releasing Zheng Guiqin's son.

Dafa practitioners Yan Mao, Cheng Ming and Zheng Guiqin were sent to the Zhangjiakou Detention Center in the morning of July 25 and were held under criminal detention.

The Dalian City Intermediate Court secretly sentenced Dafa practitioner Ms. Ma Xueqing to three years in prison on June 8, 2006.

Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Hongxia from Xingbei Village, Shuangshu Township was reported when clarifying the truth in Caozhuang Township at noon on July 27, 2006. Officers from the Caozhuang Township Military Border Station arrested her. She is now being held at the Xingcheng Custody Center.

Practitioner Ms. Lai Chunling from Ying'emen Town, Qingyuan County was arrested and taken to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp on June 1, 2005. Her husband Mr. Zhang Chengyu missed and worried about her terribly. He was devastated and passed away on June 1, 2006.

32. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Shi Weidong Sentenced to One Year of Forced Labor

Practitioner Mr. Shi Weidong helped to look after a patient in a hospital. To help the patient recover faster he suggested the patient say, "Falun Dafa is good; Truth-Compassion-Tolerance is good." This patient's family, however, reported Shi Weidong to the police. Personnel from the Jiangsu Road Police Station then arrested Shi Weidong and put him into the Dashan Prison. He was subsequently transferred to the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp to be held for one year.

It happened as he was distributing truth-clarifying materials on July 24, 2006. Police ransacked his home afterwards. At present, Wang Yuansheng is being held at the Jizhou City Detention Center.

Eleven employees of the Sanyou Corporation have been detained and sentenced to forced labor since Jiang Zemin's regime began the persecution against Falun Gong on July 20, 1999. These practitioners are Mr. Liu Wenbo (twice), Ms. Li Huimin (twice), Mr. Xiao Guoqi (twice), Ms. Liu Fengying (twice), Mr. Zhou Xiangbin, Ms. Zhang Chunzhi, Mr. He Wenjiang, Mr. Guo Litao (twice), Mr. Hu Tao, Mr. Li Guoyong, and Mr. Zheng Chunshan.

Seven practitioners have been heavily fined: Mr. Xiao Guoqi (13,000 Yuan), Ms. Liu Fengying (13,000 Yuan), Mr. Liu Wenbo (13,000 Yuan), Ms. Li Huimin (13,000 Yuan), Mr. He Wenjiang (12,000 Yuan), Mr. Liu Jianqiang (12,000 Yuan), and Mr. Guo Litao (12,000 Yuan.)

Practitioner Xu Huai'an was arrested on July 15. Practitioner Mr. Zhao Fuguang was arrested at home on July 16, 2006.

Practitioner Ms. Liu Zhen was arrested while putting up truth-clarifying material on July 17, 2006. The practitioner couple Ms. Liu Min and Mr. Ding Wu was arrested that same day and sent to a brainwashing Center.

Four policemen dragged practitioner Ms. Chang Zongxiang downstairs from her home on the fourth floor, put her into a vehicle and sent her to a detention center.

Faced with the brutal persecution, she jumped from a second-floor hotel window to try to escape, fracturing a vertebra and her right tibia. She is bedridden and unable to care for herself.

Some Dafa books were confiscated. Currently she is being unlawfully held at the Jinan City Detention Center.

Ms. Dong Lancui retired from the Supplementary Section of the China Aeronautics and Astronautics No. 239 Factory. She lives at Hepingli East Street. While cooking dinner in February 2006 one day, officer Wang Yi from the Hepingli Police Precinct broke into her house and arrested her and her husband. Ms. Dong has been sentenced to two years of forced labor, to be served at the Beijing Women's Forced Labor Camp.

Practitioner Ms. Zhang Xiaowei from Kelamayi City was illegally arrested in November 2005. Half a year later, in June 2006, she was sentenced to four years of imprisonment and currently being incarcerated at the Urumqi City Women's Prison.

After practitioner Ms. Guo Lanzhi was illegally sentenced to three and a half years of imprisonment, she was transferred to the Sichuan Province Women's Prison in Yangma Town, Jianyang City, Sichuan Province.
