(Clearwisdom.net) Taipei County recently held a two-day cultural festival. Local practitioners used this opportunity to expose the Chinese Communist Partys (CCP) atrocities of harvesting organs from Falun Gong practitioners. Many tourists condemned the atrocities and expressed their support for Falun Gong.
On July 6, after a 2-month independent investigation, David Kilgour, former Canadian Secretary of State for Asia-Pacific, and international human rights lawyer David Matas released a report in which they concluded that the CCP has been harvesting organs from Falun Gong practitioners. Practitioners distributed this news along with other truth-clarifying materials. Many tourists were appalled by this shocking crime. After learning the facts of the persecution, many people signed a petition condemning the atrocities.
After learning the facts, a festival volunteer joined practitioners to clarify the truth. Another volunteer signed his name on the first day of the festival, and on the second day he brought a group of tourists to learn about the persecution and sign the petition. Several on-duty traffic police officers also signed the petition. Many people found it very hard to believe that such atrocities are happening in "prosperous" Mainland China.
During the festival, a lot of children also signed the petition to contribute to the effort. Though they are young, they signed their names as they knew that rescuing people is most serious. Some elderly women also wanted to sign the petition. As some of them were illiterate, they nonetheless did their best to express their sincere support in condemning the atrocities.
During the two-day event, more than a thousand signatures were collected. When practitioners started to pack up at the end of the festival, a young couple hurriedly came to sign the petition.
As the total number of people who have bravely quit the evil CCP is approaching 13 million, a tourist wrote on the petition, "The CCP is to perish, the corrupt and cruel Communist regime has reached its doomed fate. I appeal to the public and government to say no to the CCPs atrocities."
