(Clearwisdom.net) On August 24, 2006, David Kilgour, former Secretary of State (Asia-Pacific) for Canada and the Vice President of the European Parliament, Edward McMillan-Scott visited New Zealand and met with members of parliament (MP) from four parties. They introduced the Kilgour/Matas "Report into Allegations of Organ Harvesting of Falun Gong Practitioners in China". The Parliament members condemned the CCPs atrocities.
Guohua Huang talks about his experience of being persecuted to the members of Parliament |
A UN refugee accepted by New Zealand, practitioner Guohua Huang, narrated his miserable experience due to the persecution in China to the members of Parliament. His 29-year-old, three-month pregnant wife was tortured to death by the CCP for persisting in her practice of Falun Gong. She left behind a young daughter. During his imprisonment, Mr. Huang was examined for liver function for three times, only because of his coughing. After the exposure of the CCPs live organ removal, he realized that he would have been used for the organ harvesting if his blood was not "like an eighty-year-old person" (doctors words). The members of parliament on site were sympathetic to his suffering.

MP Wayne Mapp said that he met many Falun Gong practitioners and was paying more attention to the persecution of Falun Gong. The severity and extension of this persecution is unimaginable. Its horrible. After learning that many practitioners were arrested, imprisoned, or killed, he realized that it is a large-scale suppression in China. Though New Zealand has a good relationship with China, this does not mean that New Zealand should remain silent facing this most severe violation of human rights.
MP Mapp also said that during Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabaos visit to New Zealand this year, Prime Minister Clark put forward the Chinese human rights issue, which should have made the CCP feel pressure from the international community. When New Zealand talks about economic and commercial trade with China, we should persist in our basic values, that is, against the persecution and steadfastly in support of human rights.
MP Pita Paraone said that he thought that more people should know about the CCPs atrocities of live organ removal. Today such barbaric atrocities against humans cannot be continued. He is disappointed at each governments attitude on this issue since each government casts a blind eye on human rights issues because of concern for trade and economic interests.
The leader of the Mori Party, Tariana Turia, and a spokesperson of foreign affairs of the Greens, Keith Locke, also condemned the CCPs live organ removal and put forward suggestions about how to get the attention of each government and organization.
On the evening of August 24, Mr. Kilgour and Mr. McMillan-Scott participated in a forum at the Law School of Victoria University and talked about their investigation of the CCPs live organ removal. They also answered questions from the media and public.
