Re: Games boycott won't force China to reform, Aug. 25.
In his opinion article, Peter King seems to think it's more important not to disappoint a few athletes than to embarrass a Communist regime that is carrying out organized killings of millions of people who only want to achieve spiritual enlightenment. Putting a huge dent in China's national pride may finally help force it to stop the persecution of Falun Gong.
Culture has nothing to do with it. To treasure life is common to all humanity. The Chinese Communist regime has lost its humanity.
I fully support the call for the Canadian government to boycott China's Olympic Games. But they need to take it a step further. The boycott just calls for an end to organ harvesting. It needs to call for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong. Then there would be no further supply of live organs for Chinese authorities to use.
