It was reported that practitioner Mr. Tian Yunhai's hunger strike has already lasted 25 days in the No. 6 Division, No. 1 Ward, Panjin City Prison. He is experiencing whole-body edema, particularly noticeable in the lower body. He is still being force-fed and is presently being given infusions. Prison officials denied his family's demand for his release.

Several practitioners from Laizhou City have been arrested since May 2006 and are being held in a detention center. Personnel from the Border Hostel of the Meilan Police Station in Haikou City arrested practitioner Ms. He Jinya at the No. 2 Section of the Hainan Military Region at 5:00 p.m. on September 5, 2006.

Personnel from the Guye District Police Department collaborated with officers from the Nanfange Village Police Station to break into the home of practitioner Mr. Li Shaoxian and Ms. Wang Cuizhen, his wife. They arrested the couple and confiscated their TV, a computer, a motorcycle, and an unknown amount of cash. At present, Ms. Wang Cuizhen is being held at the Nanfange Village Police Station. Mr. Li Shaoxian's whereabouts are unknown.

Ms. Zhang Yulian and her nephew's wife, Ms. Li Yuxia, practitioners from Yuantaizi in the Anning District, Lanzhou City, were arrested and put into the Gongjiawan Brainwashing Center on September 8, 2006.

Ms. Zhang, around 62 years old, is a retired worker of the Shajingyi Construction Company. Ms. Li is in her 30s. Her husband works in the company.

Ms. Chen and three other practitioners from the Shijingshan District were arrested. Police also ransacked another practitioner's home.

Practitioner Ms. Sun Yuzhen, a teacher of the Third Middle School in Laixi County, Qingdao City was arrested at the school and put into the Dashan Detention Center of Qingdao City on June 20, 2006. Ms. Sun has been on a hunger strike to protest, but the center police officers force-fed her once every three or four days. The inmates in the same cell often berate and beat her with the police officers' permission.

Practitioner Ms. Yan Jingqiu from Qingdao City was sent to Wangcun Forced Labor Camp in August 2005. She has now been held there for over a year and has always been on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. Her family member petitioned to take her home, but the labor camp authorities refused their request. The family requested to see her, but the labor camp authorities did not allow it.

Nearly 20 people went to arrest practitioner Ms. Hu Keling at work on July 13, 2006. They were from the Qingdaolu Police Station, Laixi City Police Department, and the 610 Office. Ms. Hu Keling is employed at the Experimental Middle School in Laixi City. They pried open the door and ransacked her home, confiscated all Dafa books, "truth-clarifying" materials, a cell phone, an MP3 player ,and a palm computer (also called a palm pilot).

Ms. Hu was placed in Dashan Detention Center in Qingdao City on July 14, although the physical exam revealed she has high blood pressure. Ms. Hu began a hunger strike to protest the persecution.

In order to prevent her from escaping, the school authorities broke a rear window and attempted to weld two iron bars across the window on July 23. This attempt caused a fire, and her neighbor's bed, some clothes and bedding were burned.

Ms. Hu was taken back home on July 24. Eight people are assigned to monitor her comings and goings around the clock.

Ms. Hu Keling left her home the evening of July 26, 2006 and is now lead a homeless life to avoid further persecution.

Mr. Zhang Le, who disappeared in May 2006, was not, as previously reported, held at the Xicheng District Detention Center, but at the Haidian District Detention Center. He was recently transferred to the No. 2 Detention Center in Beijing.

Prior to this detention, Mr. Zhang was arrested while distributing truth-clarifying materials at the Beijing Normal University on April 18.

Personnel from the State Security Bureau in Hubei Province and from the local 610 Office arrested Ms. He Meirong, a teacher from the Tianmen City Zaoshi Middle School. They also arrested a male practitioner from the 121 Factory. Both were arrested while at work and placed in the Hubei Province Brainwashing Center on September 6, 2006.

Five practitioners from the Special Economic Zone in Pan County, Guizhou Province, were arrested. Two of them have been released. The other three, Ms. Yang Baoli, Mr. Zhang Minghuai, and Ms. Ren Xiaoxian are still being held.

Personnel from the National Security Team at the Ma'anshan City Police Department and from the city 610 Office arrested practitioner Mr. Zhang Yanfeng and ransacked his home. Following his university graduation, Mr. Zhang, around 27 years old, worked as an engineer in the city's steel company.

The arrest was carried out by officers from the Dongtang Police Department when she was clarifying the truth at Xinyijiadian, Houjiatang, Changsha City.

Officers from the Jinniushan Police Department and Xishi National Security Division also ransacked his home. He is currently being held at the Yingkou City Detention Center.

Practitioner Ms. Zhou Qiling spoke the truth about Dafa on February 20, 2004. Officers from the Yushu National Security Division and Qingshan Township Police Department arrested her. She was held at Yushu Detention Center for one month, sentenced to two years of forced labor, and taken to Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City.

Ms. Zhou refused to cooperate with the authorities and refused to do slave labor. Guard Zhang Yunxue extended her term by 20 days in early 2006. Zhang Yunxue handcuffed Ms. Zhou on her day of release, March 9, 2006.

Three practitioners--Ms. Deng Cuiping, Ms. Hua Lanxian and Ms. Gu Liqing from the Hongta District, Yuxi City--were reported and arrested when clarifying the truth on May 5, 2006. They are held at the Hongta District Detention Center in Eshan.

The Eshan Court hastily sentenced the three practitioners to three years of forced labor on August 30 with orders from the Yuxi Politics and Law Committee, the 610 Office, and the National Security Bureau. All three practitioners are presently appealing the verdict.

Practitioner Ms. Xiang Lijie is currently holding a hunger strike at Liaoyuan City Detention Center to protest the persecution. She was force-fed, tied to a bed in a spread-eagle position and forced to sit in a metal chair.

Other practitioners also held at the Liaoyuan City Detention Center include Mr. Liu Xingquan, Ms. Zhang Shunhong, Mr. Zhao Lianli, Mr. Luan Aijun, Mr. Zhao Yan, Ms. Liu Xiangzhuo, Ms. Lu Chunyun, and Ms. Xiang Lijie.

About five practitioners are held at the Dongfeng Detention Center including Ms. Wang Xiangren.

Practitioner Ms. Song Xiumei from Beitangjia Village, Rushankou Town, Weihai City, was arrested. Officers from the Rushankou Town Police Department perpetrated the arrest on August 30, 2006. Her notebook computer and printer were confiscated.

Wuyi County 610 Office agents broke into the home of practitioner Ms. Zheng Weihong in April 2006. They took computer(s) and Dafa materials. Ms.. Zheng was sentenced to three-and-a-half years in prison in August 2006.

Her mother, Ms. Zheng Jiangnu, was also on the persecution list. Wuyi County 610 Office agents threatened Ms. Zheng Jiangnu, saying that they would also arrest her son, practitioner Zheng Xujun, brother of Ms. Zheng Weihong.

Practitioner Ms. Guo Lirong was an engineer at the Qianfeng Electronics Corporation in Chengdu City. She was fired for persisting in her belief in Falun Dafa and has been detained many times.

Ms. Guo went to Hehuachi to go to work as usual on September 8, 2006, but did not return home. After 8:00 p.m., a group of police officers in three police vehicles drove to her home and ransacked it. They then ransacked her parents' home on the third floor.

Ms. Zhao had been arrested by officers from the No. 3 Police Department in Tonghe Town, Tonghe County, and her home was ransacked on the morning of July 18, 2006. The police took Dafa materials, VCDs, and other things from her home. Ms. Zhao resisted the persecution with righteous thoughts and was released on the ninth day of a hunger strike.

Practitioner Ms. Song Fengxia is around 30 years of age and is the main person in charge at a medical equipment company. Officers from the Shuguang Police Department in Beijing arrested her on August 27, 2006.

Practitioner Ms. Wen Cai from Ren County, Hebei Province, went to Xingtai Brainwashing Center in March 2004 to visit her mother, who was being held there. She was detained and her one-year-old daughter was weaned off breast milk. Ms. Wen refused to cooperate with the officials, so the police slapped her face and kicked and threatened her. They also force-fed her with unknown drugs for 12 days, until Ms. Wen Cai was on the brink of death. The officials released her after extorting 3,000 yuan from her family

Inmates beat practitioner Mr. Lu Bagen from Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province, daily, on orders from the guards. Mr. Lu can no longer walk and must drag himself around with his hands.

Lu Bagen lived at No. 8-58 East Dock, Xiangshan Township, Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province. He had posted the words "Falun Dafa is good" and "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" on his balcony windows. Local police officer Wang Wei deceived Mr. Liu into coming to the police department on July 9, 2003. They illegally sentenced him to five years in prison and secretly took him to Wuxi Prison without telling his family.

Mr. Lu had been held before at Fangqiang Forced Labor Camp for one year in 2000. His term was extended by four months because he persisted in his belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Xinyan is in her 30s. She comes from Hubei Province and graduated from Harvard University with a Ph.D. degree.

Police arrested her in Shenzhen City in 2005. She was sentenced to three years of forced labor and was held at Sanshui Women's Forced Labor Camp in Foshan City, Guangdong Province. Ms. Wang was detained in solitary confinement for shouting "Falun Dafa is good," and her term was extended by three months.

Ms. Wang held a hunger strike to protest the persecution and was taken to a hospital and force-fed. She is still on hunger strike as of September 2006.
