(Clearwisdom.net) A conflict occurred recently in our Fa study group. It started when a practitioner unconsciously promoted their own "righteous thoughts and righteous actions" during the group sharing. This omission was pointed out to the practitioner, but there was resistance amongst the group when differing opinions were expressed.
My understanding of an old force arrangement is when we validate ourselves instead of the Fa. The words used by the practitioner validated the practitioner. Many human notions about how to face the evil bravely were given. This understanding was widely accepted in our area, since many practitioners still show strong human individualism when doing Dafa work.
The practitioners' actions did not seem to align with the characteristics of the universe, because these actions were not validating the Fa, but validating personal righteous thoughts and righteous actions.
Master wrote in his poem "Don't Be Sad" (January 13, 2004, in "Hong Yin II")
Your body lies in prison--don't be sorrowful, don't be sad
With righteous thoughts and righteous actions, Fa is here
Calmly reflect on how many attachments you have
As you get rid of human mentality, evil is naturally defeated
During the persecution, as Dafa disciples, we should think of everything from the standpoint of the Fa. We must ask ourselves why the persecution has lasted for so long.
Master told us in "Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A.,"
"As I've said, everything that happens today in the ordinary society is the result of Dafa disciples' thoughts. Even though the old forces do exist, if you don't have those thoughts they can't do anything. When your righteous thoughts are strong enough the old forces can't do a thing."
If we do things according to Master's words, aren't we validating Master's words? Doing things completely according to Master's Fa will naturally eliminate the evil. In another words, aren't we naturally validating the Fa as well?
A practitioner walked out of an evil place under Master's protection during the persecution. The practitioner failed to mention anything about the protection Master had given, but instead talked about the "exciting" experience of walking out the evil place with "righteous thoughts and righteous actions." This behavior promoted the attachment of zealotry, showing off and validating the self, and should not be encouraged. A kind reminder about validating the Fa is to help fellow practitioners walk the cultivation path well. Is a practitioner's heart moved when being reminded of an omission or hearing differing opinions? Doesn't rejecting the opinions of others indicate that attachments have surfaced, and that one should look inward to improve oneself? By resisting the opinions of others we push away the opportunity to improve and instead protect personal notions and attachments.
The above is my personal enlightenment, please point out anything inappropriate.
