The NTDTV New Year Spectacular aims to promote Chinese traditional culture, including respect for God, cultivation, and the truth that "good is rewarded with good and evil provokes retribution." Falun Gong promotes the principle of "Truth Compassion Tolerance," and the artists, who all practice Falun Gong, use their paintbrushes to illustrate the purified heart and beautiful experiences in the cultivation process. The art exhibition brought another layer to the Spectacular and left a deep impression on the audience.
A Chinese woman came to the art exhibition during the intermission and said, "I'm seeing the show as well as these paintings, and I understood more about Falun Gong. Falun Gong is great. I am gratified that there are so many people doing the upright thing."
One woman said, "It is a great show. I felt like I was in another world. I will come next year." Later, she bought a printed copy of the oil painting, "The Unity of Heaven and Man," because it was so beautiful. Her friend was attracted to the traditional Chinese painting, "Lotus Flower."
A young woman liked the little girl in the painting, "Homeless." The interpreter told her the story behind the painting: Because the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecutes Falun Gong, many practitioners are driven out of homes. Their children became homeless because of the persecution. Hearing the story, sadness showed on the young woman's face. She bought a print of this painting.
