(Clearwisdom.net) Longyan Prison imprisons male Falun Gong practitioners. It is located in Fujian Province, adjacent to the Minxi Prison. The authorities there claim that they "treat prisoners well." However, behind the scenes they brutally torture practitioners.
When a practitioner arrives at the prison, guards assign several inmates to closely monitor him. They force the practitioner to report to them and ask for permission for everything they wish to do. They follow the practitioner everywhere, even into the bathroom. The guards try to "transform" practitioners and force them to watch materials that slander and defame Falun Dafa. They torture steadfast practitioners. They force practitioners to stand from morning to evening, run for a long time, expose them to the baking sun, or make them stay in a fixed position for a long time. They mistreat the practitioners brutally.
When elderly practitioner Mr. Chen Xinjie shouted "Falun Dafa is good," the guards ordered several strong inmates to beat him. Mr. Chen was injured, but the guards still forced him to do heavy labor.
Former Professor Lin Chenglai from Jimei University in Xiamen City, Fujian Province resisted the inhuman treatment. Therefore, guards ordered inmates to hold him to the ground and beat him. The Political Commissar of the prison, Hong Jianjun said, "This is not called beating. This is called 'education.' Do you understand?"
In early April 2007, the guards ordered inmates to beat Falun Gong practitioners at night. For several days, painful crying was heard in the prison from midnight to morning. Practitioners brutally tortured included Mr. You Lanliang, Mr. Dong Xianzeng, Mr. Chen Ronghui, Mr. Lin and Mr. Tang.
Both officials and guards participated in the torture of practitioners, including the prison director, Political Commissar Hong Jianjun, and guards Lan Kunxiong and Lin Weining. Inmates who beat practitioners were Liu Jianren, Shi Zhichan, Huang Jianguo, and others.
