(Clearwisom.net) Ms. Song Xiuyu is a 67-year-old Falun Gong practitioner from Miling City, Heilongjiang Province. She was a medical doctor at Muling City's No.3 Middle School before she retired. Ms. Song started to practice Falun Gong in 1996. Before that, she used to suffer from more than ten diseases, including severe coronary heart disease, angina pectoris, arteriosclerosis, hypertension, and other diseases. In just a brief period of practicing Falun Gong, all of Ms. Xiu's illnesses disappeared without a trace.
Ever since Jiang Zemin, his henchmen, and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began to suppress Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, Ms. Song has been subjected to psychological and physical torture because she would not give up practicing.
In October 1999, Ms. Song went to Beijing to exercise her constitutional right to appeal for Falun Gong, but she ended up being illegally arrested, taken back to Muling Cit,y and put in a local detention center. In the spring of 2000, Ms. Song was sent to Shuanghe Forced Labor Camp in Qiqihar. The camp authorities refused to take her because she failed the physical exam. But Kong Qingzeng from the Political and Security Division of the Public Security Bureau (PSB) in Muling City got her admitted to Sidaohe Forced Labor Camp in Mudanjiang instead. Two months later, camp officials released her because of her old age. However, the PSB in Muling City would not leave her alone. They held her in Muling City Detention Center and would not release her even after she had completed her forced labor sentence. She went on a hunger strike as a non-violent means to protest the persecution. She was finally released in April 2001. After she was released, the local 610 Office and the PSB pressured Ms. Song's former employer into spying on her. Her employer then pressured her son to keep a close watch on her and threatened to fire him if she should leave her home, go to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong, or clarify the truth about Falun Gong to people.
Shortly after Ms. Song was released, she called on her daughter's home to visit her granddaughter. At the time, her daughter was incarcerated in a forced labor camp for practicing Falun Gong even though her granddaughter was only nine years old. As soon as she arrived at her daughter's home, her employer seized her and took her back to Muling City. She was again held in a forced labor camp. Ms. Song was not released until she had been on a hunger strike for over 10 days to protest the illegal detention.
In November 2001, Ms. Shen Jing'e, a fellow practitioner who has since been tortured to death, and Ms. Song went to a local farming village to distribute brochures explaining the truth about Falun Gong so that the Chinese people could understand the unreasonable persecution and what Falun Gong is really about. A villager who had been deceived by the CCP's hate propaganda reported the two women. The police arrested them and put them in Muling City Detention Center. Ms. Song was not released until she had been on a hunger strike for over three weeks to protest the incarceration. She was released for just ten days when Kong Qingzeng and a group of police officers arrested her at home and put her in the detention center. She was sentenced to three years in Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison. During her prison term, Sun Delong, a policeman from the No.2 Police Station of the PSB in Muling City, teamed up with Muling City No.3 Middle School to stop Ms. Song's pension.
Over the past few years, the local authorities have extorted several thousand yuan from Ms. Song each time she was released. They even made her pay for all the traveling expenses associated with arresting her in Beijing and from her daughter's home. The financial extortions totaled over 10,000 yuan.
In November 2004 after Ms. Song was released after completing the three-year term, she repeatedly approached the mayor, the PSB in Muling City, and the Teacher's Association to ask for the reinstatement of her pension, but they ignored her and left her with no income.
At around 7:30 p.m., October 10, 2007, Sun Delong and Lu Zhenhua, two policemen from the No.2 Police Station in Muling City, and Cui Xingguo, Caption of the State Security Team, asked a neighbor of Ms. Song to knock on Ms. Song's door. When Ms. Song opened the door, the three policemen forced their way in and ransacked her home. They confiscated her collection of Falun Gong books and Falun Gong truth-clarification materials. They arrested Ms. Song, who is now, once again, in Muling City Detention Center.
Kong Qingzeng, former Chairman of the Political and Security Division of the PSB in Muling City, has met with karmic retribution. He had to leave his job and stay home because of his poor health. We would like to advise those people who are still suppressing Falun Gong and persecuting Falun Gong practitioners to take this as a lesson. For the sake of your own future, stop committing crimes against Falun Gong practitioners.
