(Clearwisdom.net) On May 25th, Swedish Falun Gong practitioners went to the Russian Embassy in Stockholm to protest against the Russian authorities' deportation of Falun Gong practitioner Professor Chunman Gao. They displayed banners reading ''Falun Dafa is Good,'' and, ''Stop helping the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong," urging the Russian authorities not to assist the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to persecute Falun Gong.
Practitioner Alexsandra from Russia said that the practitioners came to the Russian Embassy to protest against the Russian Government's violation of International Law, as it had unlawfully deported UN refugees professor Chunman Gao and Ms. Ma Hui and her daughter in two separate incidents.
Ms. Zhang, who managed to leave Russia and come to Sweden in 2005, said that, tempted by commercial interests offered by the CCP, the Russian authorities have created numerous difficulties for practitioners in Russia. For example, the Refugee Office of the Russian Immigration Bureau gave her family a very hard time when they were still in Russia. Fortunately, they eventually left Russia with the help from UN and the Swedish Government.
Ms. Zhang said that professor Gao is a UN refugee, and any country who signed the UN Convention should not hand him over to China. Before this incident, UN refugee and Falun Gong practitioner Ma Hui was deported back to China along with her young daughter.
At the embassy, Ms. Zhang called on the Russian authorities not to assist the CCP in the persecution of Falun Gong.
Falun Gong practitioners collected signatures calling for an end to the persecution |
To date, it has been verified that more that three thousand Falun Gong practitioners have died while being persecuted in China.
