(Clearwisdom.net) On July 14, 2007, several hundred Falun Gong practitioners from Hong Kong held a rally in Victoria Park, Causeway Bay, to protest the persecution of Falun Gong in China launched by Jiang Zemin and his followers on July 20, 1999. Szeto Wah, chairman of the Hong Kong Alliance in Support of Patriotic Democratic Movements in China, Lam Wing-yin, the Sai Kung District Council member, Tsang Kin Shing, the Eastern District Council member, and Priest Fung Chi Wood, a former member of Legislative Council, were invited to give speeches at the rally. After the rally, practitioners held a parade, marching to the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, where they read an announcement.

In the announcement, practitioners briefly reviewed the history of the persecution of Falun Gong in China and exposed the brutal torture that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has been using on practitioners. Practitioners introduced lawsuits against Jiang Zemin, Li Lanqing and Luo Gan, filed by two Hong Kong practitioners on June 28, 2007. In the announcement, practitioners also exposed the facts of the violent deportation. Before July 1, 2007, the CCP exerted pressure on the Hong Kong government and violently deported more than 480 Taiwanese Falun Gong practitioners. Moreover, more than 250 Taiwanese practitioners' visa applications for entering Hong Kong were rejected. The deportation violated the human rights of Falun Gong practitioners and badly damaged the image of Hong Kong. Practitioners called upon the Chinese people and the Hong Kong government to not help the CCP anymore. They pointed out that more than 23 million Chinese people have already recognized the evil nature of the CCP and quit the Party. The CCP will fall soon. Practitioners called on the Chinese people to abandon the CCP. They called on the Hong Kong government to not bow to the CCP and make the correct decision before the fall of the CCP.
